Brian Tyler is composing the score for the upcoming Walt Disney animated movie „Chip ’N Dale: Rescue Rangers” It marks the first live-action film based on a Disney Television Animation series to be released under the Walt Disney Pictures banner. It’s also Tyler’s first animated movie in his filmography. The movie will be released in early 2022.
Interesting - I’ll be curious to see what Tyler comes up with for a kid’s animated film. Probably even more curious to see how Disney treats this. If this were the 1980s it would likely be a G to PG rated adventure purely for kids with very little for adults. I’m kind of expecting it to get the Marvel treatment though and possibly be a quite heavy PG to PG-13.
Side note, that logo looks very much like “The Incredibles” logo, right down to the shapes, retro-color schemes and Pixar fonts. Weird.

It's pretty much the same logo used on the original series.
Eh, sort of, superficially for sure.
But the new one is Pixar-modernized.
The font no longer has a stroke which is considered extremely dated these days, the stems of the letters are angled whereas the originals were flat, the new font is regular instead of the old italicized, the colored shapes are "flatter" and more "abstract" outlines rather than full shapes, and the top of the lightning bolt is now flat instead of angled.
In short the old one looks distinctively non-modern while the new one is very modern / Pixar.
Yes, radical social justice, feminist and anti-anything normal/right (not meant politically) decisions. Don't get me started.
And if none of that were happening, she's still a popular fan favorite and a god character. What female leads have been eliminated from their live-action remakes? And one or two examples does not a thing make.

Exactly
Here's the thing. They didn't change Chip or Dale into a female character. They created a new original character who could stand on her own merits. And fans love her!

Justin, I didn't mean to be rude.
You are correct. Gadget is a popular and beloved character. But today's writers may change our beloved feminine mouse into something she wasn't originally. And I cringe at the thought of that.
We don't know what the writers/producers of the new film RR may do. They may prefer the early C & D shorts, where the interaction focused on just the two chipmunks.
You're also right. one or two examples does not a thing make, but it may suggest a trend.
