But it is also NOT chauvinist to say that ScarJo does not deserve a larger payout

There seems to be a full pile on against Disney, and it makes no sense.

Disney.

The multibillion dollar conglomerate thats famous for poor working conditions for employees - so much so that the Disney family outted them in public - low wages, high stress, high turnover at the parks, literal suicide in their sweatshops, refusing to pay out to creators, buying out companies from under them, their beating the entire city of Orlando into submission in courts and opening the parks to the public during COVID?

THAT Disney? The Mouse? You're supporting literal corporate overlords?

They're Scientologists at this point. Fuck them.

I wish a Disney family member was still at the helm Lehah.
Those are real issues.

I have no idea what you are talking about with suicide sweatshops, I do know about Apple having those.
Nor do I know about creator payout issues. I do know that every Tom Dick and Harry wants to say that they "had the idea" for this that and the other. But, that is rarely actually the case. You can show me a case that is legit if you have one. Florida (and Texas) are one giant Covid disaster, agreed on that.

But Scarjo getting another payout is not going to help any of those issues.

Theres a number of these, but I'll point out the one that got resolved because of how sad it is. Apologies for linking to the Daily Fail

Its proof and pudding. They only pay out when they're caught and tried in the court of public opinion. Its habitual.

That is okay LEhah, I do not have time to read this right away, but thank you. I will read this later today.
We usually agree on stuff. I just think we need a more nuanced approach here.
I just do not go with the 'burn it to the ground approach".
I have not been persuaded in the least that Disney owes anything at all to ScarJo.
It is all too easy as a celebrity to make a big deal as a PR stunt and hope to get a payout.
I do have a lot more sympathy for the creator, author issues you are talking about here.
We just cannot so easily entertain the "I want a payout or I will make you look bad ploys" which a celebrity like Scarjo can so easily do.

Most big corps are evil. Did anyone read up on the Frito Lay factory strike? We literately have slavery in the US and that's with a union! For all the talk about evil Disney screwing over ScarJo how many of you happily have an Amazon Prime account and support that evil billionaire? Cast first stone anyone? I'm not defending Disney, but I don't feel sympathy for her either. I thought the Hollywood elites were pro liberal values? Profits over people isn't it.

There is something a bit rich about using Scarjo as some stand in to fight for the little guy, it is just bunk.

Her case looks like it has already started the unravel in the big public pages of Variety, and yes, that is what I thought
