THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER---photograph released of Christian Bale as villain Gorr the God Butcher.

DUNE---Jason Momoa commented on the Denis Villeneuve two-part movie, “It was a cool movie. You know what they need to do? They need to make the four-to-six hour version of the first half. It’s like, ‘Let’s watch the four-to-five-hour movie like a TV show; I can choose when I want to watch the whole thing.’ I want to see Denis’s whole vision. I don’t want it to be trimmed.”
Momoa also defended superhero movies after Martin Scorsese criticized them, "It’s like how people say that music is poppy and this music cool. But you know how hard it is just to get your music out there for people to hear? It’s all subjective. I try not to pick on anything. So, yeah, superhero movies are bubble gum, but they’re like Greek mythology: They have good and evil and heartbreaking moments. And, gosh, you’re taking away other art forms if you stop making them. You’re taking away visual effects, you’re taking away what you can do with makeup. I’m not someone who gets hired to play in a lot of cinema, but by being able to do a superhero movie, I can make a movie about something I really care about. I have a vision for the whole totality of Aquaman. There are environmental issues that I get to put into it. So while you’re going, ‘Oh yeah, it’s just this popcorn movie,’ I’m like, ‘Well, I get to open people’s eyes to things that are important to me.’"

RENFIELD---Nicholas Hoult will play the title role of Dracula's servant in the vampire movie. Chris McKay (THE TOMORROW WAR) is in negotiations to direct.

THREE-BODY PROBLEM---Eiza Gonzalez is in negotiations to appear in the Netflix series based on the sci fi novel trilogy about Earth making contact with aliens.

YOUR PLACE OR MINE---Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher will star in this Netflix romantic comedy movie about best friends who trade their houses for a week with big results.

TRIVIA---Michael Sheard is best known as Admiral Ozzel, who was telekinetically strangled by Darth Vader in THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK which starred Harrison Ford. Sheard appeared with Ford in three other movies: FORCE 10 FROM NAVARONE, RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK and INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE.

Michael Sheard appeared in FORCE 10 FROM NAVARONE as German Sergeant Bauer, who is shot by Harrison Ford.

Sheard played the doomed Admiral Ozzel, who was telekinetically strangled by Darth Vader in THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK.

Sheard played the U-26 submarine commander (far left) in RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK.

Sheard played Adolf Hitler in INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE.

Not bad. I'm somewhere in the middle on this (I do love Superhero stuff but I am well past the point of keeping up / caring about it) but I agree on his points.

I'd rather be entertained and I don't need Hollyweirdos to "open my eyes". I can manage just fine without them and so does the vast majority of people. Also, if I want to be condescended to, the FSM board will do just fine (and at no cost) big grin

Michael Sheard was great! As a kid you really knew him as Mr Bronson, the mean teacher in the kids show Grange Hill. It always cracked me up to see him in big Hollywood stuff.

CINDERELLA---trailer released for the Amazon Prime movie.

My gawd that's cringe worthy. I can't believe they stole the "Fairy Godmother" from this!
