The set went out of print just a year ago, too, only 1/10 of its lifespan as a thing. If team La-La even can reissue it, it might do for them to wait a bit, let the world's economic situation stabilize a bit post-COVID, let new interest grow, let the general value of the set increase on secondary markets so the $225 price tag becomes a blessing rather than a hindrance, especially for those who even consider the inflated prices... probably other things I couldn't know, being me, not them. Even if it was possible to re-release the set I'm sure the retail price would go up. Maybe $250 or even $300. Still a lot cheaper than the secondary market of course. I think the ship has sailed on this. If fans couldn't afford the $225 price tag the last ten years I don't think they'll purchase it at an even a slightly inflated price tag.

You know, Jurassic, I can see where it appeared that way in promotional images, but when I finally got the set, I was surprised at how compact it was. It's only a little bigger than the Superman blue box with almost twice the number of discs. I think La-La Land must have hit the efficiency nail right on the head with this one. How to word this... it felt 'respectful', how tight the packaging was, of my shelf space and my money. Yeah, I'm looking at some more photos actually and it looks like standard double-cases, just fitted into a printed box. I'd guess not much can be saved by eliminating the box then. I thought there was tons of other materials. Even if it was possible to re-release the set I'm sure the retail price would go up. Maybe $250 or even $300. That's not a bad point, considering the likelihood of people becoming new fans of TOS is probably low and diminishing. Now I'm going to have to fast-track ALL of Star Trek to see if the other TV shows have good enough music to buy. I'm a little confused with STAR TREK NEXT GENERATION because I can't tell if the Volumes are presenting complete seasons or what.

The Volumes of Next Gen, DS9, Voyager and Enterprise aren't by seasons. Each volume includes music from episodes across the whole series. Usually each episode on each set consists of around 2-4 tracks.

Yes, but they included some of the unreleased cues from it.

Anybody know if Black Rain sold out or petered out? That was almost 10 years ago that was released. There might be fresh demand for it today. This is one I really hope sees a reissue.

Ahh, that makes sense now. Thanks! The only set that is almost by season is the FSM Ron Jones boxset. Featuring *most* of Ron Jones' music from the first 4 seasons of Next Gen. Nooooo I didn't even know that existed! That is the set I would have wanted because it looks like Ron Jones' music was in all the episodes I've been marking down as good ones. So now it seems like the LLL releases will NOT have any Ron Jones material if this set was already out and no longer exists... See, some things you miss because you weren't even aware of them. I wasn't even aware LLL records existed until one day I was reading the wikipedia on HOME ALONE and saw on the page "complete score" and I thought "WHAAAATTTTT?!?!?!?! NOT POSSIBLE!!!!" and then discovered all the wonderful soundtracks I had been dreaming of. :'( Rooon Jooones prooojeeect........ :'( :'( Whyyy didn't I catch up on Star Trek sooooner........ :'(

Wonder Woman (the animated movie) This is a fantastic score, but sadly I doubt there's any chance of it ever being reissued. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure there was mention at some point that there would be no more Christopher Drake coming.

Ok, so having been unaware of some of these Star Trek releases, I'm only into the films, TOS and The Next Generation so far - haven't seen Voyager, Enterprise, Deep Space Nine. I like the music from the films, and have it. I like the music from TOS, don't have it. I like the music from Next Generation, don't have it. Are there any recommendations for the other Star Trek shows in terms of music? Anything good or worthwhile that I should just buy since this stuff seems to disappear before I get around to watching it?
