Extremely looking forward to seeing what score they’re looking to record this time, if that’s what the campaign is for, of course.

Extremely looking forward to seeing what score they’re looking to record this time, if that’s what the campaign is for, of course. Last year in October William Stromberg wrote this on the Talking Herrmann board: "Believe it or not, I've been copying parts for this whole score, On Dangerous Ground. I'm hoping to do it next after this stupid Covid shit goes away. Thanks." "Hi everyone. Although I'm sitting here preparing parts for this project, nothing is set in stone yet. I'm going to work very hard to make it happen and I will let you know when it is definite. Thanks for the support. My goal is to do the complete score to ON DANGEROUS GROUND coupled with all of the incidental music from THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH, obviously excluding the Cantata. The other score I'm hoping to do on the same session is the complete score to CAPE FEAR. There is so much music in that score that was never rerecorded by Bernstein. With all of the variety and using Herrmann's original orchestrations, I'm hoping it will be a spectacular new experience. I can't wait to get back into the studio for these new recordings. Stupid Covid! Best to you all. Bill" http://talking.bernardherrmann.org/talking/view.cgi?forum=thGeneral&topic=4500 Of course I am not sure about it, but the campaign could therefore be for a recording of ON DANGEROUS GROUND coupled with THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH or even for CAPE FEAR:

Maybe we can get someone to make a NEW Recording of Michael Small's- Mountains on the Moon. Or possibly Hugo Friedhofer's "Joan Of Arc"?

I would be over the moon if it turned out to be Joan of Arc, which is possible since it made the top four in the poll.

"I would be over the moon if it turned out to be Joan of Arc, which is possible since it made the top four in the poll." *** Dear Tack, I'm afraid I'm late to this party, and don't know anything about the poll you reference. Is it available for viewing somewhere online? I assume it's too late to participate, more's the pity, but I'd love to see what all made the cut. Thanks, P.
