Okay fellows, who can give me a film order for the two disc set?
Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I think the integration of the source music into the main program is:

Finally received. Thanks to the wonderful SAE for sending me another copy, when the Post Office lost the first one. SAE Team, you are truly great and much respected and appreciated! Thank you!
Loving the collection to be sure, but too bad the New 2 CD Set doesn't offer this (The Parade) cue as heard in the movie. Blended, the genius of Horner going from the source material into his score is truly superb. This blending would have made a terrific bonus track on the new set. Thankfully I have an Isolated Score recording which does present it has heard in this great clip of the parade sequence. Horner truly nailed the passion of the event in this piece as he did in "The Decision" cue and so many other moments in GLORY. "Preparations for Battle" is a masterpiece of a cue. For me, Horner's score lifted the film to a level of powerful emotion that was his true gift and a beautiful and heartfelt gift to us, the audience. God Bless You Maestro!
@ Zooba- I totally agree, I love how the two cues seqway in the film and was a bit disappointed the film version wasn't on this release. I just assumed that's how we would hear it on the expanded edition. I guess it was a post edit job after the score was finalized. I also agree Horner's score is powerful and elevates an amazing film.
Fantastic presentation and with superb sound and very involving liner notes by Jeff Bond. My only gripe was they didnt opt to make the film version edit of 'A Call to Arms' in this set. The film version edit features the Wild Opening and the fanfare before breaking out in the 'A Call to Arms'.
Nice package... with one small reservation. Could have done without the 6 or 7 seconds of silence between several tracks of the score presentation. Example... the score presentation leaves about seven seconds of silence between Track 1 (A Call to Arms) and Track 2 (After Antietam). But the same tracks on the album presentation have only a 2 second gap between them. I prefer the album approach in that respect.
You are both literally and figuratively complaining about nothing.
To think how long a way we've come. It used to be complaints that of a full score only 35% were on the CD, now we're talking silent lengths.
(Though I agree the length of gaps influences the flow of an album.)

The criticism is valid and does effect the listening experience. Sure you could edit out the silence but that's besides the point. The silence between Preparations for Battle and Charging Fort Wagner is way to long. The silence is so long it feels like the score ends on the former.

I don't recall the differences and I just re-watched the film not long ago.

I’ll share the opening from YouTube. That’s the version I remember. It starts with the fanfare and then the wild opening snares…
The opening in the film of "A Call To Arms" is simply tracked with 2m2/2m3 ("Forming The Regiment"). The wild snare opening was a separate recording which we did include on the set.

Thanks Neil. That's the first track I played. By the way somebody had loaded all the new tracks on YouTube just a week after the cd was released. I had to alert MV and he had the studio have them taken off.

This release to me is my Christmas gift to myself early this year. Totally unexpected and a long, long time request. It sounds marvelous and I think this may be my last "Holy Grail" release.

It sounds like the fanfare is just the first 20 seconds of Forming the Regiment. If you have the Audacity programme it’s fairly easy to add this to A Call to Arms with the wild opening.
