As to be expected apologists are downplaying his wish for the annihilation of Israel and every Jew in it along with the international conspiracy (something Miklos of course down-pedaled without apologizing) - right along with the wonderful PLO). But as always, there are a bunch of anti-semites whose work I love, among them Richard Wagner and Mel Gibson - whom in the latter's favor never proudly proclaimed "I am an anti-Semite!" I think he was too caught up in that "sugar" moment to do so.

To be fair a great composer will have his flaws.
And some will be worse than others, but because we can’t judge where to draw the line maybe we shouldn’t try to impose one.
Avowed anti-Semitism is a pretty big line in the sand for most people, though I do admit that Zorba tune is pretty catchy. That Peruvian-Stalinist terrorist in the story from above certainly dug it
