I had not been aware of this until about a month ago, but Beat Records had advertised these 2 CDs that may have been given away exclusively with orders made between Dec. 5, 2020 and Jan. 31, 2021:

TESTE DI QUOIO (colonna sonora originale di Piero Umiliani - CD in jewel box ribassato)
Deliziosa partitura dalle vocazione disco e con sonorità tipiche del compositore Fiorentino. Groovy, funky, melodica.

I couldn't have copied and pasted text from a dream, could I? Was anyone here able to get hold of these?

To answer your questions, no and yes. (I do the English edits of the liner notes for Beat Records' releases, including those two.)

It's strange that they would press those up and then issue them in a way that is so limited it's as if they were never released at all. Were they silver-pressed CDs? I wonder how many were made? I would have certainly bought them.

Yes, they are silver, factory-pressed CDs, but packaged in slimline jewel cases like many of the '70s "synchronization" (music library) albums Beat has reissued on CD in recent years.

For example:

I don't know why the two releases in question were produced in such limited quantities and marketed in that way, but I'm sure you'll acquire them eventually if you're determined to do so. Buona fortuna!
