Is anyone interested in this film? I'm a big Indiana jones fan, but I think they're pushing it with this one. No Spielberg either. It's a shame how far this series has fallen since THE LAST CRUSADE!

I walked out of Indy 4 thinking, "What the hell was that?", but I'm looking forward to seeing the new one. I'm curious to see an older Harrison - I quite like the idea of an old protaganist. How will that impact the story? etc. But I'm much more of a music fan than a film fan per se., so I'm drooling at the mouth at the thought of Williams sitting down at his piano to write more Indiana Jones music.

Marion was great in Raiders and annoying in the last one, so I'm secretly hoping Indy has ditched her. And I hope their son has since died.

What excites me and us more is a new John Williams score to this new film. But now I'm thinking THIS film might be the
new Crystal Skull. I shall await with interest but with the reports of injuries and sickness against the cast and crew (feels like
we've been here before). - a bad omen of sorts. Will the adventure excitement still grip us or will it be a lost cause a forgotten adventure that eventually we'll be banging our heads and reviewing how bad that was in the future.

Don’t get me wrong I love the adventures of INDIANA JONES and this film has a good cast but 'I have a bad feeling about this' that there's no SPIELBERG magic and that Indys greatest adversary has a name and its name is WOKE. Roll on 2023!

As you know I'm done. We had a perfect ending with The Last Crusade. People should just let things go gracefully.

I’m a huge fan of the original trilogy but Crystal Skull just killed my interest in future Indy movies. That film was irredeemably terrible from the opening frames to the last. Even Williams’ score was bland and unmemorable.

As regards the new movie, I hate James Mangold’s movies (The Woverine and Logan are just woefully paced) and I’m afraid I think Ford is way too old now.

I’d actually have preferred they left it all alone after Last Crusade.

Logan is so way over hyped. Awful, awful movie. Not adult at all, just shock and awe with a terribly stupid script, pathetic deaths of the protagonists and deconstruction of noble characters.

Regarding IJ's, Ford was to old when they made Crystal Skulls, and no its not ages, it's being realistic.

Yeah, it's hard to drill up any excitement for this film, when factoring in all the variables.
CRYSTAL SKULL was horrible.
Ford is way too old and will just make me sad looking at Old Indiana Jones.
It will have to virtue signal and pander, due to the production company and the times we live in.
And Mangold is hardly known for his fast paced, thrill a minute adventure rides.
The only thing I can get excited about is some new music from John Williams, even if CRYSTAL SKULL was a 'been there, done that' kind of effort from him.
Maybe we will get a swansong score from him that will soar above anything onscreen (and maybe the film will surprise us all...wouldn't THAT be great).

Also Last Crusade was the last Indy film shot on actual sets and real locations. Not 90% percent green screened. Crystal Skulls just looks like a video game.

They apparently shot at least some portions of this movie in Glasgow. I have a good friend who moved from Sweden to Scotland and Glasgow (for the sake of love, his soon to be bride is from Glasgow). Anyway they shot some scenes to the new Indy movie right outside on the street of where he works in Glasgow. So I have seen a lot of pictures on Facebook that he took while the film crew was there. So I am looking forward to see this movie for a lot of reason and now one more.

I'm sorry to say I've lost all interest in new movies. I can't see myself ever going to a theater again. The Covid situation has nothing to do with it either. The only way I'll watch a film now is if someone lets me borrow a DVD.

Yes, I'm looking forward to it very much. Mangold impressed me mightily with LOGAN (and obviously old classics like COP LAND), so I'm hoping we can reach that quality again.

I like INDY 4 more than most other people I know, but there's obviously room for improvement, so I'm open. I see no point in wallowing in cynicism and negativty just for the sake of it.

I hope it's better than the last installment. I also read Ford is being de-aged for some scenes in the film. Hopefully it's a proper send off.

I’m hugely negative about it because I still have the scars from the incompetently-made Crystal Skull but genuinely I would love Indy 5 to be great - or even just really good.

I don't have any desire to see it, but I think it could at least be better than 4. I think maybe some fresh blood at the helm might invigorate this dead horse.

I'm not sure I felt quite as strongly against LOGAN as this, but I failed to see what made it the legendary superhero film people held it up to be. Just because it did something different with its ending from what people had come to expect? It was a fine effort, but the villain (evil Wolverine) was pretty clichéd and I found it difficult to watch many of those scenes with a straight face. I by far preferred THE WOLVERINE as a solo Logan film and would have fully understood if audiences had similarly lauded the merits of that one. Alas THE WOLVERINE was viewed the same way I see LOGAN: as just okay.

With the new film out next summer, opportune time to release the Indiana Jones soundtrack boxset.

Who owns the rights to the music?

I feel very much the same. I find new films are just horrible & I have no interest in ever going to the cinema again. On the other hand there does seem to be some great TV series being made. Crystal Skull was indeed dire (& directed by Spielberg), I can't see the new one being any worse than that, but it does have the vibe of flogging a dead horse about it. Franchise is the key word these days, but they do have a problem with Ford's age.

Naturally, I don’t agree with some of you fellas. I loved Logan. I hated seeing the character die, because I’m that way, but as an alternate finale, I thought it was fine. The performances were incredible.

Ford is old, but he’s in good shape and if this closes out the series better than Crystal Skull, I’ll be satisfied. None of the films after Raiders have been as good as the first anyway, but I do love the character. I just want him to play "Old Indy" not "Old Harrison" which is kind of what he's been doing. I can't tell the difference between old Han Solo and old Rick Deckard.

As for current cinema, there’s lots of great reasons to see films on the large screen. Love him or hate him, I always have to see a Tom Cruise action flick in the theater. Top Gun: Marverick was well worth the trip and a truly immersive experience. No chance I'll pass on a Mission Impossible film.

Apparently, this has time travel as plot device, so, count me out !!!!!!!
