Disney said, We were only kidding! Harrison Ford has confirmed he will be back for Part 6.
Let’s face it, there is plenty of material that James Mangold could use for another rip roaring Indy adventure, filled with a much fun as Dial,of Destiny. For example:
Marion can die a slow, protected death from cancer.
Short Round could come back, ravished by a heroin addiction
Sallah becomes so depressed that his Egyptian accent makes him sound like he comes from Aberystwyth that he takes his own life.
And Indy’s fedora could be infested with mould and rot away.
But no worries, Mangold’s light touch won’t allow our hero to be affected by any of the above, as he will ensure Indy has dementia and can’t remember anyone from his history.
Just saw the movie. Looks like 80% is CGI backgrounds and sets, but I thought it was a decent movie. Probably helped to have super low expectations, but it was okay.
Finally saw this. Reasonably entertaining, but with too many extended car chases. Final 30 minutes or so really come together, showing an era I have studied quite a bit. Unfortunately, for most of the film, the music was pretty unimaginative, relying on established themes. Only the extended end credits seem to have a decent original score. Announced at end of credits: “Soundtrack on Disney Records.” We shall see…
I think that credit is a given, as it covers Digital Releases. A vinyl edition is 80% more likely than a CD in this crazy age. Sadly, the CD edition has come and gone. Strangled at birth pretty much.
