LLL, Intrada, Quartet, please release some of these scores. Hell I'll be okay with a digital only release. I just want the music.
Hmm ... for some reason I always skipped this movie ... Thank you, Peter, the song is gorgeous, as is Frank's entire score. Opening Theme is just WOW: https://youtu.be/NOd0c96L5LI
Great stuff, both the opening theme and closing song.
The scores from the films of Albert Magnoli were often good: PURPLE RAIN - Michel Colombier AMERICAN ANTHEM - Alan Silvestri TANGO & CASH - Faltermeyer BORN TO RUN - Simon Franglen STREET KNIGHT - DMF
I heard but never saw Purple Rain. It me seemed to me that Prince also composed the original music. I had no idea that Colombier had composed the score. I understand that there is no official release of this?
Thank you for sharing interesting info!
No, I don't think there is any score from PURPLE RAIN released.

I liked his score. I think you have already checked it ?: https://youtu.be/almBy1h1RAs The sound, of course, are bad, but it is suitable to get acquainted with the score.
Code of silence: always liked the film "If I want your opinion I'll beat it out of you" and the soundtrack. That scene of the police robot rattling off its marketing promo right after wiping out all those gangsters still is hilarious and trumps any comedy in the original "Robocop". It so being under the radar only adds to it.
I'd love to have a proper CD of that music (can do without the blues track because I can do without blues full stop).
The beginning of this neo-retro 80s track has a very strong CoS-vibe:

Became aware of it thanks to this message board.

I always felt that Monte-track had a Days Of Thunder-vibe.
Thank you for these! I'm really hoping Screen Archives gets to films like One Man Force, Showdown in Little Tokyo, Above the Law, Street Knight, and Hard to Kill. Their set does say Volume 1 so I imagine there is going to be a volume two somewhere down the line!
Now when Code Of Silence is released on CD. In my opionion David Michael Frank`s best still unreleased score is his score to Sheldon Lettich`s Perfect Target starring Robert Englund and Brian Thompson among others. Love that score.
So I got in Dragon's Domain The David Michael Frank Collection Vol 1. I am really loving this release! Thank you to all who made this happen! This is some brilliant stuff. Please release more of his work!
