A lot of hype. The media love a crisis. I filled up this morning, no problem. Certain areas maybe worse - where there is a greater concentration of Muppets.
Yes, pretty much what Damian said. The media...who JUST LOVE to stir the sh!t...helped start the panic by saying there might be supply issues !!!NOT FUEL SHORTAGES!!! so all the Grade A w@nkers of the UK flooded to the pumps to fill up and stock pile, just like similar instances when the media last stirred the sh!t (food/toilet paper shortages at the start of the first lock-down). The w@nkers will always be w@nkers and the media will always be trouble stirring sh!t bags.
I haven't seen too much panic in the North West...it does appear to be more of a Southern Panic situation. But then, a lot of the media isn't actually aware there is anything outside of London and the southern counties, where the UK is concerned. I filled up fine last week (just before the news broke) and Carole filled her car up yesterday no problem. And working from home most of the time, I've been using the car far less these days anyway. Saved a fortune!! Even had me bike out a good few times these past months
"Brits famously banished Poles and are proudly enjoying their brexit victory" --------------------- I'm stunned all those jobless Brexiteers haven't filled all those vacancies yet!!! What gives?

No theyre waiting for all the fsmers who have constant political digs on a forum where politics is banned to take the jobs first. Lol
Around our way in Wigan lots of petrol stations were closed as they had none. My sister has an electric car and was happy about that (for once). Wigan is probably filled with rag-and-bone men now, taking their opportunity in half-empty streets.

I thought they were closed coz it was black puddin' holy day.
I just asked an apolitical question here after going through this situation last spring while on vacation. Let's keep it within the OP's intentions please. Thanks

Don't make things up that should genuinely exist - i feel like the world has missed out now. Great, now i want black pudding, which is as hard to find around these parts as petrol in Wigan on Holy Black Pudding Day.
