It's been a number of years since I logged onto the boards. I just needed a break from what was becoming an out and out war zone here. Not sure how things are here now, but hey, I'm willing to give it a shot again! Since that time I have frequented many Facebook film music groups (especially The Cult of Jerry) where everyone has been well behaved and respectful of others nearly all of the time. Many of the people here are members in those groups so I haven't been totally out of the loop. Anyway, let me see what's cookin' here for a awhile.
Not that anyone might be interested, but since my last time here I've been divorced, retired and living a life of leisure, travel, volunteering and loving every minute of it. I'm no longer an avid collector of film music since I feel like I have pretty much everything that I want in my collection and plenty to listen to for the rest of my life. I also have returned to spending more time with my other musical loves of space age pop, classical and jazz. Since I only champion a few contemporary composers I won't have much to add in the area of current or recent film music. Yes, I'm officially an old film music fart!
Just wanted to say hi to those who might remember me from the boards or my FSM blogs 10+ years ago. Hi!

Can't say as I remember you Mark, but I was a regular poster 10+ years ago. I fell out of buying CDs around 2010 until about 2017. Still got lots of catching up to do.

While I'm not yet at retirement age, I do share your above-quoted sentiment as I've also (gratefully) received a lot of my film-score holy grails and have found myself with such a sizable amount of music that it does feel like I have more than enough to listen to.
