I recently found THE KARATE KID PART II songtrack album on cdr with no tape hiss or record crackle, it sounds great!

Yes, I like most of the Cameron Crowe song scores.

Grace of My Heart (1996)
with that killer Bacharach/Costello song, God Give Me Strength sung by Kristen Vigard (who sadly didn't get her version of the song on the album).

Once (2007)
Sing Street (2016)

Then most likely it will be this (I mostly love scores, not songs):
1. The Wraith (1986)
2. Say Anything (1989)
[These are films where the songs are really chosen correctly and appropriately]

Am sure the only one I've ever had is Ghostbusters on vinyl bought on release, so that one. Don't think I've played it since the 80 s though.

Checked the Say Anything album. Satriani, Depeche Mode, Peter Gabriel and Freiheit. Good selections.

The Beach is probably my most played but others that I really like are the usual suspects: Pulp Fiction, Trainspotting, Reservoir Dogs and Natural Born Killers. I also quite like Threesome, Go and Control

I think the only Various Artists soundtrack that I've got is NEW JACK CITY. I haven't played it in years, probably more than a decade, and have no idea why I bought this one out of a thousand other songtrack albums that I've managed to ignore all this time.

Several albums mentioned here have at least one score track. I'm looking at my iTunes collection and can't really see any song-only OSTs; they all have at least one score track. Maybe in my physical collection, but it's temporarily packed away. Historically, THE COMMITMENTS was the first-ever soundtrack album that I bought on CD, and it's songs-only. Same for THE BLUES BROTHERS, really ("Peter Gunn" was not an original score track for the movie, after all). But in both of these cases, the songs were recorded specifically for the movie; maybe that doesn't count.

I have no "play" statistics, so how would I know?

I suppose it's something like PULP FICTION or 91/2 WEEKS... don't know. I have only a few song compilation soundtracks, though I have of course albums with songs, but those are usually not soundtracks.

A Walk on the Moon - just songs on it no score track; it's a fine sampler with only one or two songs I don't really like that much.
