I got to talk with Leanna Primiani, who some may just know, and some might recall from the Score Masters gathering about Goldsmith and Williams from earlier this year. She's scored a horror short which premieres this weekend in Ohio, and she'll be conducting her score live to picture.
We talk about that, and horror movie music in general, and her in general, in this episode of The Goldsmith Odyssey. As always, you'll hear lots of music, too.
George is asking if she has any scores available on CD I think.
I *think* the answer is “no” but Leanna isn’t actually listed at Soundtrackcollector.com yet and maybe we should just double check with her. This may be the first score of hers to be getting an official release (it’s a shame The Bad Seed didn’t) and I think it’s just download only.
Update: It's now $11.70 for everything of hers on Bandcamp, *including* Ivory Wave which was just released. Wish she'd put up her score for The Bad Seed; it shows her melodic talent more.
Oh, and for anyone who missed it earlier this year, here's the Score Masters collaboration The Goldsmith Odyssey and The Legacy of John Williams podcasts did together, with seven special guests discussing John Williams and Jerry Goldsmith, including Leanna Primiani, Leonard Slatkin, David Newman, Mike Mattesino, Bruce Botnick, Mike Lang, and Jeff Bond:
