This is a very enjoyable score, brimming with melody and wonder.

And don't just take my word for it...

That's quite a tragic backstory leading up to its creation (in the review).

It's really cheap on the secondary market.

Any other fans out there?

I got the CD 5 days ago from a guy in Blackpool. Not played it yet (no surprise there), but the purchase was based simply on the composers name. It was £3.49 NEW for 50 mins of music. What's not to like ?.

Playing this again, along with my other Westlake CD's (THE EDGE has got some lovely heavenly choir cues, among the more exotic Australian instrumentation) and this - PAPER PLANES - really is some epic stuff.
Glorious old-school themes and scoring.
There's even a fun/knowing tribute to Goodwin's BATTLE OF BRITAIN in one cue.
Very recommended.

This came this morning, thanks to your bump. Only six quid. So far very nice.

Glad you're enjoying it, old bean.
It really is a lovely score and the type that a lot of people around here seem to clamour for these days.

I thought I had a few by him. Turns out only Miss Potter. I had put that with some Simon Walker by mistake!
