A long and distinguished career indeed. 'Goldfinger', 'You Only Live Twice', The music and songs to 'Doctor Doolittle', The screenplay, music and songs to 'Scrooge', and 'Victor Victoria' (shared with Henry Mancini). Thank you very much, Thank you very much, Thank you very, very, very much! R.I.P.

Don't forget the unused "Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" from "Thunderball" which was recorded by Shirley Bassey but was dropped from the film (but can be heard instrumentally when Bond enters Cafe Martinique).

A fine songwriter and, by all accounts, a hellofa nice guy. Sad to learn of his passing, but age 90 is a "good innings" as they say in England. When I first moved down to Salisbury, I was in the "Pound Shop" one day and noticed copies of his autobiography, "The Music Man" on the shelves. Since it was only £1, I bought one and was quite captivated by the reading of it. I went back a few days later and picked up the remaining copies, four or five in all, and sent them out to film music mates of mine. The postage to send them cost more than the price of the book! But I think my effort was appreciated. Thank you, Mr Bricusse!
