Its amazing how they "clean up" defendants for court cases so the jury isn't prejudging them by their appearance. The armorer wore punkish clothing, pink and purple hair and had a nose ring. For the court case she looks like a cute college girl.

Hell, I've cleaned up for traffic tickets and freaking bankruptcy hearings. Imagine if I was involved in a manslaughter case. I'd rent a damned tux.

This is exactly the kind of thread, catering to the tabloid mentalities amongst us, that leaves an unnecessary aftertaste.

How so? We're discussing an actual court case not who someone is sleeping with.

more evidence that the New Mexico prosecutors office knows they never had a case, and they have botched it up all along.

Halls, the first assistant director on “Rust,” did not serve prison time after pleading last year to a count of negligent handling of a deadly weapon. Instead, he was given six months of unsupervised probation, a $500 fine, 24 hours of community service, and an order to take a firearm safety class.

The first assistant director got away with "murder". Just a slap on the wrist for directly contributing to the death of the cinematographer. Ordered to take firearms safety class after the fact is insult to injury.

According to the documents, special prosecutor Kari Morrissey offered “a plea deal identical to the petty misdemeanor deal accepted by Dave Halls.”

"The filing states that the offer was made on Oct. 5, and Baldwin was given until Oct. 27 to decide whether to accept it. However, on Oct. 17, prosecutors informed Baldwin’s lawyer that the deal was off and they were proceeding to the grand jury, according to the filing."

prosecutors hoped a trial would “humble” Baldwin and serve as a “teachable moment.”

A lot of troubling comments and actions from the prosecutors, who appears more interested in "taking down a celebrity" than following the law or performing justice.
