I can't pick just one, but I would love ROCKY V, THE SEDUCTION OF JOE TYNAN, MASS APPEAL, PRIVATE BENJAMIN, HAPPY NEW YEAR and FOR KEEPS. What about you guys?
Speaking of Joe Tynan, the Blu Ray from Kino Lorber comes out Dec.14th. I haven't seen it since 1979 and will be interested to hear how much of Conti's score is in the film. There might be more score that just isn't being heard in the film itself.
And Slow Dancing in The Big City is out on Blu Ray at the end of November from Scorpion. I've never seen that and I'm eager to hear Conti's score with picture. Loved the LP. Maybe there's more music for an expansion.
Getting Conti's film scores might be easier to find as the film's themselves get released.
It never hurts to prod a listening album producer's ear. I'm sure they always wonder if there is an audience for a release.
Private Benjamin. Really just for the end title theme arrangement though.
There’s some nice romantic music in Paris and some good military stuff for the Thornbirds too. The best use of the theme apart from the end credits is when Judy decides to stay in the army and there is a montage of her training.
I adore the theme for Seduction of Joe Tynan and the on,y version I’ve found if it is a crappy recording on YouTube. I can’t remember anything else about the score to be honest but I’d buy the album just for the opening titles.
I can't believe -- especially considering this is a thread by henry -- that I am the first person to mention: his score to the three-part pilot to "Dynasty".
