1987 movie finally on youtube. Great end title theme by JNH. This score needs a CD release. Perhaps something for Notefornote?

I have not seen this movie. But once checking the filmography of Howard saw that he scored it. Very nice synth-pop score. Definitely my type. I'm only for the CD release, but is there enough material?

The film and obviously the score belong to Paramount, so who knows, maybe there is a chance ... For example La La Land has released quite a few scores in recent years, licensed by Paramount Pictures.

I haven't seen the film yet, so I don't know how much score there is. Quite a bit of songs in the film.

There are several 1980s comedies I made notes about when I was checking out Paramount scores. This was one...also Gung Ho by Thomas Newman, Best Defense by Patrick Williams. I feel like there were more, now I can't remember!

You mean you checked them out for a possible release on the FSM record label?

It was well after that, I was informally helping the other labels (La-La Land, Intrada, Kritzerland, Quartet) access elements and materials to produce CDs at Paramount. I usually got a project consultant credit or something like that. And from time to time I'd research possible titles and make suggestions, both to the labels and to Paramount.

Lukas, was it true your label tried to release Revell’s Dead Calm? Is there no way whatsoever that’ll see the light of day?

I never made any serious enquiry on that one. I'm a big fan of it, though!

I was positively surprised to see your name on Black Rain, Days Of Thunder and Beverly Hills Cop 1 & 2.

I saw the film. I guess there is around 20-25 mins of score in the film. I could absolutely see an album of this, featuring 7 songs and 3 tracks of score, or something like that. But since that didn't happen in 1987, I guess it won't happen now.

Not a very good film, by the way. The director Ron Casden never made another movie.

I`m in for early scores by JNH. Never seen the film but why not? Anyway there is two other early JNH scores I want to be released, one is his score to the last Kirk Douglas - Burt Lancaster movie Tough Guys. The other one is his score to the Steven Seagal movie Marked For Death, really like this one.

I am a big fan of JNH's scores from 85-87 in particular. Melodic, exciting and pleasant scores all of them.

I realy like 'Marked for Death'. In vain did Steven Seagal was indignant this score. Howard composed an impressive and engaging score. Hopefully it will be released someday.
