Thus far "Somewhere in Time," "Tamarind Seed," "Anne Frank" and "Sherlock Holmes" are my favorite soundtrack releases of this year. Wednesday may change that - or will at least complete the list to five titles

One is Marco Beltrami and the other is Panu Altio Is that a fact or a guess?

There's usually a Morricone in the last batch, I'd love For A Few Dollars More, mastered by Chris Malone. Hell, I can dream can't I?

My main desire for Quartet is that they would change their minds about doing more re-recordings as I really enjoyed their recording of Endless Night.

When Quarter re-released Rozsa "Sherlock Holmes" they add suite recorded by composer for Polydor in 70 with Royal Philharmonic. It was shocked and surprising because those Polydor tapes seems to be lost... and they even comfirmed Ithat Sherlock Polydor suite WASN'T vinyl rip... so tapes needs to be somewhere. And who knows, maybe addition of Sherlock Polydor suite was some kind of teaser and all Polydor recordings os coming? It will be true miracle if the 3CD set will be Rozsa Polydors together in one box... Just my dreams!

The big question is if Quartet would do a nostalgia style set and put each LP on each own disk or if they would do a two CD set.

Finally "Giulietta Degli Spiriti"? I don’t know how good the initial CD releases of this are, but if there is to be a Rota in the batch, I would rather it be War and Peace, which desperately needs a remastering and expansion (if the tapes survive).

I think this is Paramount - other waters. All the CAM/Rota titles deserve the MBR/Quartet treatment - even if there is no additional material. The improvement in sound quality will not just be subtle.
