He's my all-time favorite composer and I think there's a good chance I am.Besides me he's not really talked about much here.
LOL that is some big ego you have there Henry... So you think there is noone else supporting/collecting/listening more to Contis music than you just because they are not on this forum writing about it?
He did say “a good chance”. And surely the lack of anyone else on the forum writing about Conti makes it more likely, not less.
Respectfully, if I’m ever up on a false murder charge I don’t want you on the jury!

Why there is not so much talk about him, may depend on that there is not any new music from him and alot of his music is unreleased or not expanded etc When Contis greatest achievement hasn´t gotten proper releases yet (I´m talking about the Rocky scores) it´s not much you can write about. I would want his Nomads score to be released too
It's not ego, I would just love to be his biggest fan it would be an honor. I would love a complete ROCKY set and NOMADS! BTW, the song from NOMADS, written by Conti, is available on Ted Nugent's LITTLE MISS DANGEROUS album.

This board aggregates film score fans from all over the world. And who loves film music more than us, in the world? Henry might very well have peers but no superiors in his love of Conti.
Come to think of it, while I'd have a lot of competition for TITANIC or John Barry and others, I might have no superiors in my love for THE OMEGA MAN soundtrack. That one is mine.

Yes I have met Nugent and talked alittlebit about that song and movie and if he remembered much working with Conti. I think that score is so far away from anything else Conti has made and it is a cool score that I think Intrada did look for but did not find

On the NOMADS Blu-ray there's a pretty long interview with Conti talking about Nugent.
I was so lucky to interview Mr. Conti twice for my new book, "Composing Adventure: Conversations with Composers about Great Adventure Scores." He was a joy to speak with and he was happy to share memories about his career.
When I asked him what his favorite scores were, he said that he was particularly fond of his scores for "Gloria" and "A Prayer for the Dying" - 2 scores that I wasn't familiar with. He said that I should listen to those scores and then call him again after I'd had a chance to listen to them. "You'll love 'em. You owe me a call!"
He was right - they're wonderful scores! So I called him back a couple of weeks later and had another lovely conversation. I can't say enough good things about Mr. Conti, both as a gentleman and a composer.
