A very beautiful main theme that is often heard throughout the entire score. Cool romantic score by David Foster filled with a sense of nostalgia and optimism. It seems that the score is relatively small considering the length of the film, but it would still be very cool if it got a release on CD.
The period of time in which I first watched this film, I clearly associate with good changes in my life and the appearance of new friends.
I remember back in the early 90s, I was in a teenage choir, and some of the 'hippest' guys had David Foster as their favourite. They constantly played his Olympic theme when we were on tours and stuff (like on the bus stereo). So it was a bit too much for me at the time; I thought he was rather cheesy, like Richard Clayderman.
However, in adult years, I've come to appreciate his talent. I should check out ST. ELMO'S FIRE again one of these days.
