Again...a shame that one of the greatest score of the seventies and maybe even the best comedy scores ever written YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN still hasnt got a proper release without dialogue.A mystery why this hasnt happened yet.

Not to mention the comedy musical masterpiece SILENT MOVIE.
Wall to wall music and only two tracks released (to my knowledge).
One of my final holy grails.

Also, there’s HISTORY OF THE WORLD and HIGH ANXIETY.
One day …

- Sune

At least the blu-rays have isolated score tracks for Young Frankenstein, High Anxiety, History Of The World Pt 1
Robin Hood: Men In Tights and To Be Or Not To Be.

John Morris seemed, (to me), to really understand the characters, time, places and unexplored emotional darkness as well as the undiscovered 'light' in all the horrors depicted in this marvelous film.

Montana Dave said it more eloquently than I could have written. It has been years since I viewed this film, but now I want to view it again. The music was perfect in this film.

Orchestrator Jack Jack Hayes worked from sparse piano parts. I was there working with Jack setting up score pages from his sketches.

Fantastic..sad ..and very humanistic movie. The music was spot on!
Why Morris didnt get other A List Movies ( besides his Mel Brooks collaborations) after Elephant Man is next to the unreleased Young Frankenstein score another mystery....
Maybe he was under a tight contract with Brooks or made bad choices??? Anyone knows what he rejected maybe???

One of the tenderest and saddest movies ever made, and a perfect joining of music, that last scene- it just guts me every time, it strikes so deep. A remarkable film.
