Probably few today will remember this funny thriller in its own way, which back in 1988 did not really find its audience, failing miserably at the box office, not even recapturing the production budget. The weak directing and poorly developed script are striking....
But with all this, it has its own charm and nice atmosphere of the 80s, primarily because of the cool score David Michael Frank.

The composer appropriately used the saxophone to convey the eroticism and mystery that is somehow present in the film. The main theme is very beautiful and bewitching. It can be heard more than once in different variations. In addition to the main theme, there are also several other good themes, such as in the chase scenes. Otherwise, it's a pretty good 30-minute score in David Michael Frank's signature style. This score is on my wishlist (if anyone manages to release it).

Sounds like a mix between Trevor Jones and Michel Colombier.

Count me as one of the few that knows of this score! I'm a big DMF fan and this is an especially nice one filled with his trademark sounds of the era. Really love that combo of his synths with that sax.

Dragon's Domain put out a nice compilation called David Michael Frank Collection Volume 1 last year with two other scores. Maybe if they do a Volume 2 they could look into including Call Me.

Very happy to see another fan of David Michael Frank!

Let's hope.
In the 80s, he was pretty good at scored action/thriller movies.

Sounds like a mix between Trevor Jones and Michel Colombier.

The scores Sea of Love (1989) by Trevor Jones and Cop (1988) by Michel Colombier immediately come to mind. The last score has not been released. Cool music with dark synths. I watched this film about half a year ago and it seemed to me that the original score is not enough and it is rather monotonous.

I think you are familiar with these scores?
