For me this is a vast improvement over Kritzerland's release. Remember their initial 2-CD set with the album version and the actual film score on separate discs? That was actually a very good release.

For me this is a vast improvement over Kritzerland's release. Oh really? Since they used our CD please let everyone know how it is a VAST improvement. They're using OUR mix, which, BTW, we paid for and for which I'm sure we receive no credit.

For me this is a vast improvement over Kritzerland's release. Cool. I never bothered with the Kirtzerland edition. Gonna pick up the waxwork one. Better artwork too. Why didn't you bother with the Kritzerland release? I don't get it.

I'm still not over the thrill I experienced when the Kritzerland CD turned out to have the full-length film version of "I Never Dreamed..." It was drowned out in the movie and never released anywhere, but there it was. That first-time play, when the song went into its instrumental bridge, was one of the great moments of my music-buying life. And it's such a great song.

All carping aside, I think we can all agree it's a good thing this all-time great score remains in print.

Hey I loved the Kritzerland CD when it came out & it was a great release, I just think listening to the scores side by side there is for more depth & clarity on this version That must be in the ear of the beholder, because the Kritzerland CD has all the depth and clarity I can imagine. But it's out of print, so there's no harm in hyping the new release, which I'm sure also sounds fine.

If they're using our mix, which obviously they are, you can't get more depth and clarity out of a mix we created and James Nelson mastered. Yes, you can raise the volume, which they've apparently done and is not something we would have done.

Well we can disagree on this but according to of the LP release (in the description & on the back cover) some remastering was done... https://waxworkrecords.com/collections/all/products/carrie-1 Do you understand what "remastering" actually means. They had to make a new master to release this, so, in that regard, sure they "remastered" it and turned up the volume. Swell. And actually, it doesn't say anything other than the expanded and remastered soundtrack - which is exactly what ours was.

What is annoying is that with all that noise, when a release is really an upgrade, e.g. lower generation tapes were found, it is quite difficult to figure out because there are so many false positives from labels and forum members. Yep. Happily, Kritzerland used the Generation One tapes of Carrie, and transferred them when analog-to-digital converters were a mature technology (i.e., 2012, not 1987). And since Generation Zero is the paper sheet music, I think we're set for life. People without the Kritzerland should buy the Waxwork. Affluent collectors should, also.
