While I always have both symphonic scores and electronic scores on my list, since I like both (or any other idiom, for that matter -- jazz, rock, you name it), there was a considerable amount of electronic scores on my list this year. But by no means all of them. Here are some other great electronic scores of 2021 that almost made the list, but fell in the honourable mention category instead: FILM: ANNE+ (Tess van der Velde) NIGHT TEETH (Ian Hultquist & Drum'n'Lace) OXYGÈNE (Rob) Also: TV: THE THIN BLUE LINE (Martin Hederos & Irina Gmeyner) DICKINSON, season 2 and 3 (Ian Hultquist & Drum'n'Lace) YOUNG ROYALS (Matti Bye) BETTY, season 2 (Aska Matsumiya) THE BILLION DOLLAR CODE (Uwe Bossenz & Anton Feist) GINNY & GEORGIA (Lili Haydn & Ben Bromfield) HALSTON (Nathan Barr) LOVE LIFE (Dan & Mike Tuccilo Romer) MADE FOR LOVE (Keefus Ciancia) PARA - WIR SIND KING (Timo Pierre Rozitzki) PARAISO (Lucas Vidal) STELLA BLOMKVIST, season 2 (Frank Hall) VIDEOGAMES: ENCOYDIA (Yann Letour) THE ASCENT (Pawel Blaszczak) AXIOM VERGE 2 (Thomas Happ) CRAB GAME (Context Sensitive) ROAD 96 (Lee Blanshard & Daniel Gadd/various) ....and probably more. I haven't listened my way through all of them yet. Knock yourselves out on Spotify!
