Please excuse if I've come quite late to the party. I believe SCHMIGADOON aired last summer 2021, but I just recently saw it on youtube. I never noticed it discussed here, but if it was, you can just ignore my post and let it die away.
Of course SCHMIG is a take off on BRIG for BRIGADOON which is the mythical/mystical town setting for Lerner and Lowe's great old Broadway and then Movie Musical.
Lorne Michaels produced Musical series paying homage/inspired by or ripping off existing Broadway/Movie musicals. Fantasy about a couple that get lost in the I guess mythical/mystical town of Schmigadoon where the townspeople burst into song and dance based on/inspired by/ripping off several existing and classic musical theater songs, characters and concepts. Concept for me is interesting yet, you get what their doing real fast and for it to stretch out over a 6 Hour Series, may be too much for some. I may be one. It's basically a 6 hour Series of stretched out SNL Musical Parodies for your viewing entertainment tied into a bigger story line of the lost couple trying to get back to reality.
If you have seen it, what are you thoughts?
And, what will they call Season 2... if there is one?

Here's the thing (Ok, one of the things. Ok, ok, one of the many things) that I don't understand:
What's the point of joining in a thread on a topic just to say (and to say nothing more) that you DON'T like the topic of the conversation?
Now, saying WHY you don't like the topic is, arguably, a bit of a Debbie Downer, but at least there's a hook to continue the conversation. Even better is when you can produce some objective facts to support your position.
But when you just say that you don't like something, it's a bit of a bucket of cold water. You're not contributing anything beyond your personal opinion, which is, after all, worthless. Worse, you are, by implication, criticising those who do like the topic ("You like THAT stuff?").
So here's a request.
If you don't like something, don't bother telling us. We just don't want to know.
