From my contacts in the Bond community, I was sent this link to what is supposedly the - famed - unreleased Licence to Kill demotrack, by Michael Kamen, Eric Clapton and Vic Flick.
Actual one or not, I like it. I'd heard about this years ago, and being a big Bond and Kamen fan, I've waited a long time to hear this (if it's the real deal-which it sounds like). Kamen's score was terrific and so is this.
A pleasant and intriguing surprise. I wonder what the lyrics would have been.
I`m not sure it was ever meant to have lyrics. It seems to be more in the vein of The Lethal Weapon musical approach - with an instrumental featuring a well known instrumental artist.
As interesting as this song is, I think this song is far inferior to the title song the producers finally landed on.
But the guitar underline, with the Bond motif is very cool! That repeating twang....very Vic Flick.
Has anyone matched it to the credit sequence yet?. Timing is not far off the Gladys Knight song. I would like to think it's the real deal although it is a tad repetitive.
