Frozen juice, in the last month or so, leaped from $1.99 to $2.49.

Yipes!

Anybody else noticing any spikes in price?

I wonder if they're going to go down if the world ever gets back to "normal."

Can’t you just buy juice and freeze it yourself? Not sure of the point of the product...

Of course. Some items I buy frequently have gone up this much in the past year.

Four sticks of margarine (.99 - 1.79)

5oz. can of tuna (.79 - 1.25)

Ramen noodle packs (8/dollar - 5/dollar)

Box of frozen waffles (3.19 - 3.99)

Dozen eggs (.99 - 1.49)

In the UK, food prices are going up week on week, & let's not even talk about energy prices...& interest rates seem to have woken up. Good luck everyone.

God forbid these companies who seem to make a profit with every human tragedy (Covid, War) take a little less and give the consumers a break.

I don't really have a sense of rising food prices as all the increased costs are hidden in the total cost of the weekly 'big shop' but (to ignore your suggestion to not talk of rising energy prices) the various energy companies are sending out letters telling me that they are raising yearly prices by 40-50%!

I look forward to when all these price hikes settle down and we start getting letters telling us that prices are coming back down 40-50%. Perhaps less likely to happen.

Most of the food at the Dollar Tree has gone from $1.00 to $1.25!

The prices are getting higher; right now, I'm more concerned about availabilty. At the grocery stores where I shop, some items are either not available or sell out before I get there. Some shelves are almost always empty or nearly empty.
Dog and cat food shelves are rarely full nowadays and the brands my pets eat are hard to get.

Really nothing new. Its been this way since the pandemic which we shall not name. Ive gone weeks not finding the regular items I want. Nowadays I stock up. For example Gatorade in a can is often out of stock, if I see it on the shelf I'll pick up another one even if I already have a few in the house. Better to stock pile at this point. Hell, I still have a stock pile of toilet paper!

People are changing their eating habits.

I've always tried to maintain my pantry for a bad winter storm, or if my car is in the shop, or I hurt my back and can't go shopping. I maintain a supply of everything that will keep, eat it in rotation order, and replace what I eat every week.

The pandemic made me even more like that, and now with the Ukraine war, the intractable supply chain issues, and inflation taking off, it seems even more urgent. And that's not even to mention what is happening to the price of fertilizer (it's shooting way up around the world), and what effect that will have on future harvests.

Every weekly trip to the grocery store that ends with groceries seems like a victory now. I worry about the future.

What about the price of gas? Holy shit!

When my local Harris Teeter grocery store puts their items on sale (buy 2, get 3 free and other such deals) I always buy large amounts so I never have to pay full price. Works for me.

If you have the Smith's Rewards Card, you can get one of Kroger's carbonated drinks for only 79 cents in comparison with the $1.25 that you have to buy the Stars & Strips carbonated beverages at Dollar Tree (their cola is one of the worst and is WAY too sweet!)

As someone who drives an electric vehicle, every time I see the disgust over gas prices my reaction is, "What gas prices?" The grass is greener, I think. More and more public locations are installing recharging stations, many at no cost right now.
