Thanks to the hints on this forum for this 2-CD-Set I was finally able to buy "The Best of James Bond 30th Anniversary Limited Edition". My question: beyond these wonderful and interesting demo versions of "Goldfinger" and "You only live twice" I was unable to find the cues in the Thunderball-Suite, that were not included on the Thunderball-Soundtracks. Where are they within the Suite?

None of the tracks in the Thunderball suite were on the original soundtrack album. But all of them are in the expanded edition. Cheers

It's still a fabulous standalone suite - even with the expanded soundtrack. Yes really needs a remastered & expanded version from La La Land Records as there is still 20 to 25 minutes of unreleased music , really hoping this will happen, fingers crossed .

Thunderball is frustrating because all of its unreleased cues were transferred to digital in 2003, and are 100% accessible to our boutique CD producers. The have the hard drive on a shelf. Literally all they need is studio permission, which never seems to come. Same for OHMSS.

I think the 20 minutes might include pieces Barry recorded that were not used in the film, such as the unreleased guitar versions of the two songs.

Don't think there's 20 minutes of music missing from the 2002 cd. Maybe 7. 20 minutes could be right. Watched the movie lately and imo there are approx. 20 - 25 minutes of music, not included on the CD. It has been difficult to identify some cues, because of the sound effects in the action scenes, but I am quiet sure, it is more than 7 minutes.

This is a score that has been giving me a bit of trouble lately. I have the 2CD Bond collection with the suite and I have the original soundtrack pressing. The re-release is going for quite a bit on the marketplace. I want the best version of the score but since there are rumblings about a complete(er) version getting released "some day" I have held off. Is the sound quality a significant improvement on the re-release over the Suite from the Bond collection? You can download the 2003 expansion at the iTunes store or Amazon.com for under $12: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001VSDPOS/ref=dm_rwp_pur_lnd_albm_unrg I wouldn't bother waiting for a new CD edition that will probably never come.

Hi, Folks, I pulled an old track list of notes I had for this project: https://www.lukaskendall.com/post/thunderball-cues Lukas See Track 28. But thanks, Lukas. That's a nice share! Whoa, clearly wasn't writing this for public consumption... Lukas Let me get this straight: if you say, that 20 - 25 minutes are missing on the 2003 "Thunderball"-CD and you didn't find all of these missing cues in 2003, means for me that these cues haven't been digitized back then and maybe are lost forever? If I'm right, then we have the same problems with "Goldfinger" because you told me two years ago, that you couldn't locate the missing 8 - 10 minutes. I really like to know which Bond-scores have the same problem.
