I'm guessing he just did the theme, like with the other nature documentaries as of late? The rest of the score by those Bleeding Fingers guys, perhaps?
Seems likely...unless Apple decided to pony up for the full Zimmer fee?! It looks amazing, the animation and look is very impressive, but it's basically a fancier Walking with Dinosaurs and I'll be amazed if the music is as good as Ben Bartlett's superb music for that and Walking with Beasts.

Yes, it's rather strange that none of the dinosaur TV documentaries in the last 30 years have been able to compete with the special effects of JURASSIC PARK. At some point, there must be a documentary with the money and resources to make a fully convincing dino docu.
I wish I had evidence, but one of the things I talked about with friends after seeing JP was how they should do a documentary about dinosaurs using CGI... I should have been a BBC producer. I guess Walking With Dinosaurs was limited by what you could achieve on a TV budget. It's quite a leap creating 6 minutes (seriously, it's that little) of CGI for a Spielberg blockbuster to at least 10 times that for TV. Gotta say that Prehistoric Planet looks fairly promising so far, CGI dino wise.

Soundtrack Album for Apple TV+’s ‘Prehistoric Planet’ to Be Released
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the Apple TV+ natural history event series Prehistoric Planet. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Anže Rožman (The Planets, Universe), Kara Talve (Perpetual Planet: Heroes of the Oceans) and Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Gladiator, Inception, The Lion King, Dune). Zimmer & Andrew James Christie (The Flood) have written the Prehistoric Planet Theme. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, June 24 and will be available to stream/download here. Prehistoric Planet is narrated by Sir David Attenborough and presents little-known and surprising facts of dinosaur life set against the backdrop of the environments of Cretaceous times, including coasts, deserts, freshwater, ice worlds and forests. The 5-parter executive produced by Jon Favreau & Mike Gunton premiered last month and is now available to stream on Apple TV+.
