Just a suggestion for folks open to it, but if you re-order these volumes to construct a full 79 minute album in iTunes chronologically by composition/airdate, it actually plays SUPER well. Here’s that play order for the GE Theater scores; “Autumn Love” works really well as a bonus score at the end OR at the beginning (Goldsmith did write it in the late 50s before any of these):

1. Hitler’s Secret (season 8 episode 3, aired October 4, 1959)
2. The Last Dance (season 8 episode 10, aired November 22, 1959)
3. Sarah’s Laughter (season 8 episode 16, aired January 3, 1960)
4. The Committeeman (season 8 episode 18, aired January 17, 1960)
5. The Legend That Walks Like a Man (season 9 episode 20, aired February 12, 1961)
6. My Dark Days - Prelude (season 10 episode 25, aired March 18, 1962)
7. My Dark Days - Aftermath (season 10 episode 26, aired March 25, 1962)
8. The Bar Mitzvah of Major Orlovsky (season 10 episode 28, aired April 15, 1962)

Looking forward to hearing what people think of the 32 minutes of new Goldsmith that just dropped…

That's the order I put mine in, with "Autumn Love" at the beginning (since it most likely came first). It's a really nice-flowing album. Love the two most recent ones, with the Italian-flavored "The Committeeman" being my favorite.

I crossfaded all the Autumn Love cues together and made a suite. Plays perfectly.

It works in either spot, but I put Autumn Love at the end, the 'bonus' region, and it makes such a great capper for the set.

I listened to those reconstruction cues Yavar posted a bit back, and while I have not heard the re-recording, I can say that the original score is a lovely little work and a real highlight for me.

Not ordered mine like the above yet, but probably will. However I have listened to it in release order and it played very nicely. These are lovely little scores by Goldsmith, brilliantly recreated and performed.

A fantastic achievement - thanks so much to Leigh and everyone else who was involved or contributed.

Autumn Love is really extremely lovely.

But the other two are very good too -- all of the series has been good to great.

I notice that the total time is just under 79 minutes. So if a CD is forthcoming, it all can go on there.

The options are:
1. 1950s - Jerry Goldsmith at The CBS Radio Workshop (1956-1957)
2. 1960s - Thriller Volume 3 (1960-1961)
3. 1970s - Pursuit/Crawlspace (1972)
4. 1980s - All-Synth "Trilogy", Orchestrated (1984-1988)

Minor question: what is exactly volume 6 and what score is volume 7? The artwork and the metadata contradict each other. smile

Well, that was stupid! Thanks for the heads-up, I’ll get that altered asap smile

The correct order for this batch is Committeeman (6), Dark Days (7)
