Roger says

Not only is Last Starfighter coming back this week, but due to my travels next week we are announcing next week's release this Friday.

Based on the reaction to Jumangi I imagine a sharp rise in complaints, so we can get those off everyone's chest early, ahead of the actual release. But this has been a grail release for some time, especially to get that Daedalus cue released. Similar to Monsignor, different mixes existed. So as with that release, one disc features the complete score from Armin Steiner's spectacular film mix, with a second disc featuring Len Engel's album mix we've all come to know and love. Finally it's all here produced under the love and care of Mike Matessino.

A high resolution transfer of this is going to sound wonderful.

Still would have preferred Willow.

But I buy pretty much anything Williams.

It's John Williams.
And I've only ever had the Japanese edition on CD, so it doesn't even feel like an unnecessary upgrade.
Any new JW releases is a thumbs up from me.

Ah! So "on deck" was a reference to the space shuttle's flight deck all along! And "pretty exciting" was referring to star Lea Thompson, who is very pretty. And "anticipate" is an anagram for "I taint Cape," because the unintended launch of the space shuttle tarnished the reputations of everybody who worked at Cape Canaveral.

In retrospect, it's so obvious!

Having missed both of the previous Intradas (...yeah), this is terrific news. The 80s cues are meh, but the Williams adventure style is always fun.

Fantastic news - I Love this score! The main theme is beautiful.
I also just have Japan CD from back then though and just saw the film once (it doesn’t hold up to its score haha). So I don’t remember if there’s a lot missing from the OST.
What is this Daedalus cue?

There were plans back in 2009 (?) to expand Spacecamp but at that time the rights holders refused to allow an expansion. The cue in question was an action cue regarding the Daedalus space station.
