The Andromeda Strain is my favorite sci-fi film and he was a credible odd man out character. RIP, sir.

For me he is the actor with the Swedish (last) name in the Schwarzenegger movie Commando.

91 years old? It's funny how our perception of time gets distorted. I remember James Olson from THE ANDROMEDA STRAIN, CRESCENDO and MOON ZERO TWO, and that's about it. So my memory of him is of some guy probably about forty years old at the time. And when I saw the announcement that he had died, I thought, "Must have been fairly young, maybe in his 70s..." Then I did "the math". Is time going faster for everyone?

R.I.P. Mr Olson.

A fine actor. He was Cassavetes' rival on COLUMBO.

Joanne Woodward's lover in Paul Newman's directorial debut, Rachel, Rachel, with a late score by Jerome Moross.

Oh he seemed all over the small screen forever and that's what made his performance in Ragtime such a big deal for me.
