Awesome news about The Park Is Mine! One of my favorite TD score cd's - it feels like a complete and chronological sequence, not an album arrangement - perhaps one of the reasons Froese did not approve of the release.
I'm sure the remaster will be vibrant. Dragon's Domain is on a role!
Wow, it's been so neat to be re-introduced to this score again after 30-odd years! I forgot how much I loved that main theme. And is it just me, or could some of these tracks be needle dropped into "Stranger Things" and not sound out of place at all?

Absolutely.
By the way, here is a song that may or may not have been an influence for TD when they wrote that main theme:

Fair comparison as to that song... I can hear a similar chord progression and tone, almost like the Firestarter main theme is a slowed down version of it.

They did great on NEAR DARK so I agree. THE PARK IS MINE is one of my favs as well. I remember in 1991 when I first stumbled across it (it was in a clear long box) at Tower Records in West Covina and luckily grabbed it before my TD thirsty friend saw it first. I had seen the film years prior but had forgotten how hardcore FFS era TD it was. Schmoelling's signature Jupiter 8 leads all over the album creates such a slobberfest. I'll be comparing it to Edgar's 2015 "Morning Sun" and "Polar Radius"/"Industrial Life" on Booster VII which are tangetized versions of "The Letter" and "End Titles". If it sounds that good I'd open a bottle of the good stuff to celebrate although since Edgar had the original elements it may not be a fair comparison. Here's to hoping they got their hands on something better than what they had before.
I received a message from Varese International saying that due to manufacturing delays the release date of Firestarter is pushed back to 12th August.
Odd, I received mine about a month ago ( in the U.S ). It's already been released, so it's delayed for the international market. Don't worry, it's worth the wait
Has anyone in the UK received their order yet? I got the same message saying that it had been delayed until August 12th. Still no shipping notification. Their website is saying the item is in stock and ready to ship and has been since July 22nd. Why is the long delay only affecting preorders?
Is there any one of you beside me who hasn't got a shipping notice yet? I mean it's almost three months since I have ordered the CD and it's not even shipped yet... (Varése International)
