Couldn't find a thread about this movie. It is obviously for fans at this point, but I thought the previous movie was so so, plagued by a somewhat unrealistic and uninteresting story with little consequences.
All that to say that this one is... so much better!

The story this time around is more interesting and dynamic, flowing between two separate storylines with solid stakes, different moods and a lot of humor, charm and emotion. In the end I thought this movie was the perfect kind of ending the sixth season and the first movie didn't provide - of course they can continue to make these if they want- but there is a welcome and real effort to put some kind of closure on most of the characters.

Likewise, John Lunn's score is up to the par: the "shooting a movie" story has dynamic music and a swelling "movie star" motive, and the French part also has his distinctive travelling melody (with delicate, moving slow version). The last tracks are quite superb.

All in all, a winner for both movie and score, and I hope people turn up for this one (even if like me they were disappointed by the previous one)

I liked the last one. They could go on forever with these movies and I hope they do.
