Recently discovered this great funk soundtrack from 1977.

https://www.discogs.com/release/3352827-Franco-Micalizzi-Il-Cinico-LInfame-Il-Violento-Original-Motion-Picture-Soundtrack

It was also issued as Violence!:

https://www.discogs.com/release/2168314-Franco-Micalizzi-Violence

As the Beat CD only has sequences 1-18 as the track titles, can anyone possibly connect these tracks to those on the Violence album? I've had a go but didn't get very far! Thanks.

I can't answer your question, but I will say that I really enjoy Micalizzi's funky big band scores smile

I obviously started figuring this out and didn't finish (looks like there remain three pieces I had not identified, and one edit I don't yet understand), but here is a start, using the CD edition of "Violence!" that had several more tracks than the LP:

1. Big Fight (seq. 1 from Genova a Mano Armata)
2. L'Ultima Minaccia (edit of seq. 7 from Roma a Mano Armata, possibly containing more music at the beginning, and having a clean ending, where seq. 7 cuts quickly into another cue. There is about 30 sec that is definitely repeated to make "L'Ultima Minaccia" longer, though there MAY be about :30 at the beginning that is unique. I'll figure this out eventually.)
3. Droga e Paura (seq. 11 from Genova a Mano Armata)
4. Senza Via di Uscita (edit of seq. 9 from Il Cinico, l'Infame, il Violento - just missing the beginning)
5. Dark Suspence (seq. 13 from Il Cinico, l'Infame, il Violento)
6. Pronti per l'Agguato (seq. 16 from Il Cinico, l'Infame, il Violento)
7. Tensione Notturna - ? (it's a theme from Roma a Mano Armata)
8. Running to the Airport (seq. 1 from Il Cinico, l'Infame, il Violento)
9. A un Passo dal Pericolo (seq. 9 from Roma a Mano Armata)
10. Deep Night (edit of seq. 7 from Roma a Mano Armata - here is the second half, where "L'Ultima Minaccia has the music in the first half)
11. Caccia al Cinese (seq. 14 from Il Cinico, l'Infame, il Violento)
12. Fiato Sospeso (edit of seq. 18 from Il Cinico, l'Infame, il Violento, which is made up of at least 3 cues - "Fiato Sospeso" is simply the middle one, which begins at about 2:58)
13. Autostrada della Morte -?
14. Affanno (this sounds like an alternate, longer take of seq. 15 from Roma a Mano Armata that is not present on that CD, but I haven't confirmed this)
15. Il Cinico, l'Infame, il Violento - M8 (seq. 4 from Il Cinico, l'Infame, il Violento)
16. Senza Via di Uscita (versione 2) (seq. 17 from Il Cinico, l'Infame, il Violento)
17. Affanno (versione 2) - ? (it's a theme from Roma a Mano Armata, but is it unique to this CD?)
18. Pronti per l'Agguato (versione 2) (seq. 1 from Roma a Mano Armata)

That's a great help, many thanks for your response! Please post again if you're able to tie-up any more of the titles. I had a bash but just got very confused!

I had another listen, and got a little further. I still don't have it all figured out and will have to be more thorough to understand what is happening with a couple of the edited cues.

The ones that are getting me are "Autostrada della Morte" - what film is it from? At :11, I keep thinking it's from "Napoli Violenta", but I'm pretty sure that's wrong - and "Tensione Notturna", which has to be from "Roma a Mano Armata", but is it unique to "Violence!" or not? I don't know yet.

Comparing the mastering of "Roma a Mano Armata" to "Violence!", I prefer the sound of "Violence!". I suppose I should go step on some apples.

Autostrada della morte could be from Delitto sull Autostrada.

On the "Violence" LP "Autostrada dealla morte" was the penultimate track on side B with 2:02 minutes:

If it is the same track on the CD, then it comes from Seq. 2 of ROMA A MANO ARMATA.

"Autostrada della morte" comes from Il Cinico l'infame.., it's the same track as "seq 12", starting at 0:24.

Is "Autostrada della morte" on the "Violence" CD therefore another track than the one on the old "Violence" LP?

Now I see that it was my own fault: The track listing for the "Violence" LP on Discogs and on Soundtrack Coollector is quite obviously wrong.
So "Autostrada" is not the penultimate track on side B, but the third to last one. What I was writing about was the "Affanno" track which is the penultimate one on side B and identical with the one from seq. 2 of ROMA A MANO ARMATA.
Of course you are completely right about seq. 12 of IL CINICO... which was the source for "Autostrada".

Thank you for that! And to Mr. Schlegel for the identification of "Affanno" - I should really have picked that one up sooner.

That means the only tracks unconfirmed are "Tensione Notturna" and "Affanno (versione 2)", which sound to me to all be from "Roma a Mano Armata", though I haven't yet been able to pin them down.
