Great news. Been waiting for a decent BR release of this for ages. It's a shame it doesn't feature the Drew Struzan painting for the cover. One of The artists best.
Good news. Nice extra! The current 4K presentation isn’t bad though. Also getting a limited cinema run this weekend in the U.K. Not sure if it is showing elsewhere.

That's what I was thinking too. I have the first three movies on UHD disc, and they all look phenomenal...especiallyFirst Blood
A lot of people complain about the current UHD having a yellow cast even with Dolby Vision turned on. Maybe Canal addressed that. Not holding my breath though.

I'll have to check it out. Up until last Friday, I was using an XBOX One X as my 4K disc player, and that only supports HDR10. I got a mid-range Panasonic that supports Dolby Vision, so I guess this decides what movie I'm checking out next!
I probably didn't notice a slight yellow tint because I've been using "Filmmaker Mode" on my LG television which has a warmer temperature to the picture. What really jumped out to me was the clarity of the picture.
Just booked some tickets to see this film at our local ODEON on Monday night. I actually saw it first, in the cinema, in January 1983 (ABC Lime Street, Liverpool). So it opened quite late '82 or early '83 in the UK. It's on nearly every night in the UK on one of the free to air ITV channels...but you can't beat a GOOD FILM at the cinema.
