This list is simple. Your most favorite soundtrack releases. There may be other threads like this but since we're always talking about the scores we wished we had. Let's take time to reflect and talk about the scores we're thankful that we finally have! You can provide your number one favorite, a list of favorites, or a breakdown of each favorite!

Here are mine.

Number 1 Favorite -

Lethal Weapon Box Set.
- This is by far my favorite release of all them all. It has received more playtime than any of my other releases. It is one of the few series that I love so much I not only put each individual score as its own playlist on my iphone. I even created my own personal best of compilation playlist from all four movies. For the best of playlist I usually start with track one and have no issue listening to this the entire way through.

I have used this music for so much of my fiction writing. Just by far my favorite.

Other favorites in no particular order -

Avengers: End Game
Back to the Future
Bloodsport
Broken Arrow
Days of Thunder
Drop Zone
Independence Day
Jurassic Park
Renaissance Man
Speed

This was a 50th birthday present from my little sister. I really excited to get it - My big sister was as like "But you've already got that!" so I explained she meant . Because it was one of my main ins into film music. Along with this.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned Star Wars (any incarnation thereof) yet...

The FSM Blue Box Superman. All excellent film scores with the bonus of Ron Jones' terrific music for the 1988-89 CBS Superman animated series (and what a huge sound Ron got from 35 musicians!) Also, LLL's expanded edition of Williams' Empire of the Sun score.

- All the releases that had to do with the 'Star Trek Expanded Renesaunce' and it's subsequent updates (FSM's 2009 edition to La-La Land's 2021 edition).

- Batman (89) from the Danny Elfman collection (Better sound!)

- Die Hard 3-Disc Set from La-La Land. KABOOM! That's what it felt like listening to this soundtrack for the first time with La-La Land's original release engrained in my head.

- Apollo 13. At last James Horner's score is presented in two unique ways (A third way if you re-organize!).

- The Last Starfighter. Finally a modern release that I can play anywhere.

- The Secret of NIMH. I love your work Jerry, and this one was a stand-out even as a kid.

• Titanic
• Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
• Time After Time
• The Omega Man 2.0

If we are grading for physical presentation as well as "just" the music, my favorite packages are:

• Star Trek Soundtrack Collection (LLL 15-CD)

• King Kong: The Deluxe Edition (Barry, FSM 2-CD)
• Lost in Space (LLL 12-CD)

Superman: The Movie 20th Anniversary - finally the Helicopter Rescue scene was released! I was so excited until...the 2000 Rhino edition and then....LLL 40th Anniversary edition. Such awesome releases. Couldn't afford the Blue Box edition and wish i had it but these were just awesome.

All editions of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. The OST was one of my favorites in high school. Double and triple dipping for the last 2 releases didn't bother me at all.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade OST. Still my favorite score from the Indy films (my favorite movie series). My brother got the box set and made me copies of everything so I've pieced together an expanded edition. Love it because (as the liner notes stated) JW felt the audience had matured enough that he didn't need to push the excitement button using the theme as much as he did in the previous installments. Has my favorite End Credits ever.

The Star Wars trilogy 2-CD sets from 1997. Still remember driving all the way to Tuscon, AZ from Ft. Huachuca to wait in line to see each re-release and then head over the the CD store (can't remember which one) at the nearby mall to buy these after each show. Felt like a kid again hearing so much unreleased music.

Braveheart OST and then the masterful LLL release. Just fantastic and always a great listen.

Ben Hur 1999 Rhino 2 disc long box. One of the best scores to what I feel is the best movie ever made (not my favorite, just the best movie). I listen to this every Easter season.

The Alamo Prometheus 3 CD complete recording. Holy crap I was so excited to get this. What a fantastic score for one of my favorite history stories and John Wayne films (although I know it's very inaccurate- but that final battle has yet to be topped).

Those stand out to me with good memories.

Far and Away - John Williams

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom - John Williams
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - John Williams

Raiders is my favorite movie but I find myself listening to these two more often as they are more lighthearted and fun to me

Batman - Danny Elfman

Midnight Run - Danny Elfman - Would love a proper re-release of this one

Days of Thunder - Hans Zimmer.. I love this movie and was so glad to finally get a release from La La Land.

Little Women - Thomas Newman
Home Alone - John Williams

Yearly listens for me around Christmas. Both of these are great for that time of year.

Nicholas Nickleby - Rachel Portman

Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation - Joe Kraemer
Predaor - Alan Silvestri
Speed Racer - Michael Giacchino
