Hello! I'm sharing with you the only shareable and up-to-date SOUNDTRACK RELEASE CALENDAR. I originally created it for myself so I wouldn't miss any upcoming releases. After talking to some of you, it's clear that our community will benefit from a tool that makes tracking release dates enjoyable. It will save you time by providing quick access to relevant info and help you support composers and record labels you value.

I think you'll like it! Bookmark it, add it, and share it:

1. Soundtrack Releases - Google Calendar: https://bit.ly/soundtrack-releases-gcal
You can preview it online without adding to your Google Calendar. You have to add it if you want to search it. Click on the +Google Calendar button at the bottom right. Release format info is in the description of each entry.

2. Soundtrack Releases - Apple Calendar: https://bit.ly/soundtrack-releases-ical
This will download the calendar .ics file. Import it into Apple Calendar as New Calendar, right-click on it, choose Get Info, set it to auto-refresh every 15 minutes/1 hour minimum.

LET ME KNOW if you have any feedback, suggestions, corrections, or collaboration requests, please share below or email me at soundtrackreleases@gmail.com. Thanks!!

Thanks for sharing this. Since you asked, I would suggest including the format(s) each title is being released on (CD, LP, digital, etc.), since we all know that everyone has their preferences (I, for example, only purchase music released on CD).

I really appreciate it. At the moment, format(s) are included in descriptions. I didn't want to include too much information in the event title, but I'll start adding formats to all, not just vinyl. Still deciding how much and what type of info to put in the descriptions.

Great idea! But I'm bit confused with 2 releases for August - Neastmaster & Tag: The Assassination Game. Why they are in this list? BSX/Dragon Domain released them years ago, and they are still in stock...

If it's there, it may be a reissue/new version/restock. I'm still evaluating the quality and type of info on different websites. This particular one came from Amazon's upcoming releases list so that's where the discrepancy may be. Don't think I'll be including it going forward except for brand new releases. Worst case scenario is that it will serve as a reminder to someone.

I tried importing the release calendar to my Mac (Apple Calendar), but it didn't import as a new calendar - instead, it added all the individual events to my Home calendar, which is much less helpful and clutters up my regular personal calendar. Any suggestions on how to ensure it's imported as a completely separate, new Calendar account that I can click on separately to see only the release events? (E.g., right now I have separate calendars for Home, Work, and various email addresses.)

Thanks for sharing the resource, though!

Easy answer. When importing you can choose what calendar to add it to OR you can choose to create a new calendar out it. Choose New Calendar from the dropdown menu. You can name it whatever you want. I added this tip to the general instructions. Thanks for giving it a try!

This is so weird - when I try that, "New Calendar" is grayed out for me and I can't import it separately. I wonder if there's a limit to the number of separate calendars Apple allows. Thanks for your help, anyway!

I figured it out - I had to create a new blank calendar in Apple Calendar before I could import the .ics calendar. Once I did that, I was able to import the .ics to that blank calendar with no problems. Thanks!

Where did you find this?
I see no info about Sony releasing the score anywhere...

"See How They Run - Daniel Pemberton (Sony Classics)"

Great idea. I too would appreciate formats (CD).

So you don't like the format info being in the description when you click on the entry and won't mind too much info in the entry's title?

Searchlight Pictures moved the release date of this film a couple of times, so that might have affected the score release as well. This is Pemberton and it will get an Awards Season push, so I'm sure it'll come out around 9/16. As we get closer, I'll update it.

That doesn't explain why exactly this should be released by Sony...
Plus this is hardly awards contender...

You're right about the label. I'll put it back in closer to the release. Awards Season push doesn't equal awards but with Saoirse Ronan, Sam Rockwell, and Pemberton involved they will push it somewhat to see what happens.

Not that you were dying to hear it but Pemberton's "See How They Run" is getting released tomorrow (9/16) by Hollywood Records.
