Just know that DSD is an *archive* format, not a distribution format. The recording you are listening to has almost certainly been converted to standard PCM, processed, then converted back to DSD again. SO, what any improvement you are hearing is likely thanks to the actual improvement in *mastering* that was done to the recording, NOT the DSD format itself. Take a few minutes to read through this article, which puts it all into perspective. People get caught up worrying about formats and bit rates and sampling rates, where what really matters is the quality of the recording itself, and the skill of the engineer who mixes and masters it: https://bobpariseau.com/blog/2018/7/18/understanding-dsd-to-lpcm-conversion-or-sacd-noise-shaping-for-fun-profit FUN FACT - if you applying *any* kind of DSP at all - EQ, room correction, surround processing - you are not listening to DSD, but DSD converted to PCM and processed through your sound systems DSP chip. In other words, don't sweat the DSD designation and enjoy the music no matter what the format!
