WB, sensible? There's better chance of a global meteor shower this very evening...

Peter, re your question about the tracks on the promo.
I'm afraid I'm not familiar enough with the film to denote the score tracks in relation to the movie.
But I would imagine all the major score highlights would be represented. Most old promos covered the bases.
I'm sure there are some on here who have both editions and could advise you better?

Chances of a reissue are really slim because the film is now owned by WB and if they don't come around on their licensing deals and be more sensible not much is going to be coming out of that watertower vault in the near future unless it's a project already in perpetuity.

Well, shit, that's a shame

Suppose you're going to tell me the Doobie Brothers broke up too! (LLL released score ref atcha...)

Is that what's been making Goldsmith's Supergirl so impossible to get licensed? If not, what's the deal with that? Curious.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you everyone.

And Kev, I might take the plunge we’ll see. The LLL presentation seems to be better organized than the promo that’s for sure. The differences in prices in the used CD market though are a killer!

Ray, I listened to Freedom. That is a great track too. I am bummed I missed out on this score back when it was released. I was late to the party for sure.

Peter, hope you can get this at a reasonable price. Good luck!

I guess I’m stuck in the dilemma of the movie poster’s slogan.

“If you want the ultimate. You’re going to have to pay the ultimate price.”

Damn. lol.

Playing my CD of this now...first time in quite a while.
It's quite a dreamy score, like a really nice version of THE HITCHER, with its silky electronics wafting in and out of Isham's newly found orchestral chops.
It kinda straddles the line between electronic and orchestral, with lots of Isham's little quirks and stylings - from his earlier non-score albums - on display.
I must admit, I enjoyed this listening way more than I ever remembered it.
It can sometimes be just about the mood you're in and timing of the event.

Skydive is amazing and I mentioned this to Isham when I spoke at length with him for an FSM interview a few years back. He was great to talk to.

Ahhhh, that must be track 14 on my edition, titled 'Formation Skydiving'.
5 minutes of floating brilliance.

One of Isham's best cues IMO and an amazing sequence in the film. It's like modern impressionism insofar as how he constructs the music. Really nice harmonies and textures.

The film is one of the most impressionistic of the modern action films so the score really fits it like a glove that way. In terms of fit and tone and personality, I think it's his best score. On album there are a few lulls, sure, but the highlights are *chef's kiss*
