OBI-WAN KENOBI---Ewan McGregor confirmed Lucasfilm originally planned a prequel movie trilogy centered on young Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi's self-imposed exile on Tatooine where he is Luke's protector. McGregor said because of SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY's disappointment, Lucasfilm decided the movie trilogy would be better as a tv miniseries, "It was going to be a story about me and Luke. It was always going to be that, and that was one of the genius moments where everyone went, 'Wait a minute,' and then changed it."

HORIZON---Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington and Jamie Campbell Bower have joined the cast of the Kevin Costner movie trilogy whose synopsis says," HORIZON chronicles a multi-faceted, 15-year span of pre- and post-Civil War expansion and settlement of the American West. Experienced through the eyes of many, the epic journey is fraught with peril and intrigue from the constant onslaught of natural elements to the interactions with the Indigenous peoples who lived on the land and the determination and at many times ruthlessness of those who sought to settle it."

JOKER: FOLIE A DEUX---the sequel's budget is $150 million which is more than double the original movie's budget. The increase includes $20 million each for Joaquin Phoenix and director Todd Phillips and $10 million for Lady Gaga.

BATGIRL---after Warner Bros. cancelled BATGIRL, the studio is thinking about keep star Leslie grace for future DC projects and is “entertaining the possibility of having her continue to play Batgirl in a future DC film (or, at least, star in another Warner Bros. production).”

GODZILLA VS KONG 2---an Australian press release for the sequel states, "The fifth film [in] the MonsterVerse franchise will see Kong defend the Earth from the unusual and dangerous creatures that threaten his new home."

THE FALL GUY---Emily Blunt will co-star with Ryan Gosling in the movie based on the Lee Majors tv series about Hollywood stunt performers who moonlight as bounty hunters.

CHIEF OF STATION---Alec Baldwin and Olga Kurylenko will star in this spy movie about an ex-CIA station chief who teams up with a rogue female spy to solve his wife's murder which leads to uncovering a massive conspiracy.

THE WONDERFUL WIZARD OF OZ---Kenya Barris (BLACK-ISH) will be the writer/director of the remake of the classic THE WIZARD OF OZ.

TRIVIA---more James Bond movie trivia.
Q, the head of MI6's research and development branch, appeared all of the official and unofficial James Bond movies except three: LIVE AND LET DIE, CASINO ROYALE (remake) and QUANTUM OF SOLACE.

In YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE, Q (Desmond Llewelyn) demonstrates the armed autogyro Little Nellie to James Bond (Sean Connery).

Is he specifically named as Q in Dr No? I know the role wasn’t played by Desmond Llewelyn but I have it in my head the character was referred to as Major Boothroyd rather than Q. It’s been a while since I saw Dr No though so I may be wrong.

Either way, here’s an interesting trivia question (no cheating!): In what Bond movie (aside from possibly Dr No) is Q referred to as Major Boothroyd?

Looks promising. The "witch" sequences especially look very... moody. Gothic. Disney'esque fairytale Evil.

Since no-one else has bothered ... The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) ... Anya's meeting with Q (I think when he delivers the Lotus but it could be earlier when they're viewing the microfilm with M, etc.)

Which ties in nicely with the other thread about worst Bond girl ... easily Barbara Bach as Anya - both actress and character.

Give that man a bottle of Bollinger. Spot on - and yes it’s the scene on the dock in Sardinia when Q delivers the Espirt.

Can’t agree with you about Bach though. She was hot s hell. Not a great actress for sure but I’m not sure I notice that too much….

Two other films that Barbara Bach and Richard Kiel appear in together? (again no cheating)

A MacLean follow-up (the only official one) ... and a Morricone scored sci-fi in which the score was easily the best thing about the whole production

Bach and Kiel:

FORCE 10 FROM NAVARONE (great cast, lousy sequel).

CAVEMAN is maybe the second movie?

Joint winners, and I’m afraid Dragon needs to be force fed The Humanoid through propped open eyes, Clockwork Orange-style, until he can tell the difference between Richard Kiel and Richard Starkey (spoiler: it’s about three-and-a-half feet big grin)

I've never heard of THE HUMANOID before---maybe because it's Italian.
Reading about it in Wiki, I'm probably better off not knowing about it.
