All I get when trying to order is the message "There was a problem with our checkout" and to try later. Ditto, via PayPal and Apple Pay. I'd suggest you contact Paypal directly and ask them why your payment was declined Ford A. Thaxton

My CD arrived today from Intrada. Looking forward to playing it tomorrow. Is the download and digital booklet not available to those who order from, say, SAE or Intrada? Nope Ford A. Thaxton

Thus came yesterday and has had one play, so far. I found it more listenable than I thought, for some reason.

I had to stop buying things, even food, but I'm very tempted by this. I watched the film last night and found it to be truly mesmerizing. John Scott played a big part in maintaining the unsettling mood of the film. I love that small ensemble sound, and how he makes things creepy by using such things as plucked strings (as opposed to an orchestral crescendo - I'm grateful he didn't have the budget for that). Nice also to see that the tracks are quite long. That should give it a bit of a flow. In the film itself some of the tracks sound truncated. I suspect that this was just post-production music editing, so it'll be good to hear the "longer takes". Were the tracks edited together for this release to make them longer, or are they from the original longer tracks originally recorded as such by John Scott? Whatever, it's either this or some bread and fruit. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ That was me two years ago, this is me today. I caved in and bought this to bulk up my parcel from the Deutsche Demokratische Republik. It's a small marvel of film scoring! Love it for all the reasons I mentioned two years ago. I know that Miss Gurdy expressed her agreement with the decision to group short cues together (on DESPERATE VOYAGE - that's another splendid DDR release). I'm the same. On the four DDR CDs I got the other day, they all sport track lengths of a minimum of around 3 minutes. It really enhances the listening experience. Anyway, I love this John Scott score. I think I might prefer him in this "small, intimate" mode than full orchestral, but I've just realised I haven't actually got any other of his scores on CD. Must have been thinking of some LPs I got in the '80s. Seems like yesterday.

Also, if you like John Scott, I would suggest you try his score for "Webs and Other Wonders" at BSX. It's a really cool electronic score from the early 80s that makes liberal use of the DIES IRAE. You can also try his score for the film Insemoid, another electronic score from the early 1980s.
