Now that they need to relocate, wouldn't it be better for Varèse to open up a store in a EU country?
It would serve multiple countries at a custom free rate, rather than one country at a custom free rate.

I miss the old Colosseum days. I always had good service from them.

If you buy one title a year, you don't have that much to moan about.

That's how I think of it. Very expensive p&p & the dollar shooting up against the euro & pound, all makes for very costly CDs, but for one or two (or none) purchases a year, it really doesn't bother me that much (unlike the start of the century when I was buying three or four a month).

So good that Rudy is available as a CD quality download. No shipping costs, instant delivery, high quality.

That's a good solution. Though at the price their doing it, they should include the booklet as PDF download.

I really don't know what this has to do with brexit, a warehouse in any part of Europe could have gone bankrupt, & I dunno, maybe most of their European orders came from the UK.

I don't know if the bankruptcy had to do with Brexit, but it could well be if the company was specialized in international shipping. It has to do with Brexit in that the Varèse International shop was set up "internationally", or at least to lower shipping and customs for customers from EU countries. That worked fine until Brexit came into full effect. Then, shipping and customs for customers from the EU easily quadrupled so it was not worthwhile anymore.

Exactly. Before brexit ordering from UK was fine. It arrived quickly and when UK was part of the EU, there was no bureaucracy bullshit involved. When that changed and I think they might have also increased their shipping costs considerably it made 0 sense to order from UK, when if it came to price of the CDs+shipping it was cheaper to actually get it from US, which led to lower price based on which these additional EU-nazi charges got added.

Yes, ironically, it was cheaper to import from the US to the EU than from the UK into the EU. Thought to be fair, the charges were not "added", they were always there. It is when the UK left the EU that these charges came into effect, as it puts the UK in the status of any other country with no trade agreement with the EU, which is explicitly what Brexit was about. So it's not as if the EU suddenly "added" charges to the UK, it is that the UK left the EU to and as a logical result has now the status of any other non member/non trade agreement country. Just not helpful if you want to have an "international" store.

Anyone else in the United States experiencing non-shipped Varese CD's? I think it's great they're releasing more CD's, they're just not shipping them.

Asking for a friend...

Are customers of Varese's US website still having problems with orders not being fulfilled, or is it just me?

I live in the UK, and as Varese's international store closed, I ordered a couple of titles from their US site on the 12th November. That's two weeks ago, and the order is still sitting there with fulfillment status of 'unfulfilled'. Anyone else waiting weeks for a Varese order to be posted?
