Well, all I can say is that I'm glad it's back because insane shipping prices and customs ransoms make so many of these things unjustifiably expensive and at least I can pick up some of these titles at reasonable prices. I'd buy more if LaLa and Intrada operated a similar system (hint, hint), but as it is, a lot of scores just have to go by the wind.

PS: just received THE SERPENT AND THE RAINBOW DeLuxe and AND JUSTICE FOR ALL from Varese UK, so I'm happy with that.

My recent order arrived a few days ago. However royali mail tracking still says leaving US, Feb.9th!!! Did I mention RM tracking is crap.

You want to talk about crap postal service, I shipped a box of CDs to a buyer in Northern Ireland, the morons at USPS and US Customs ended up shipping the box to Japan, which then was sent onto Vietnam, they tried to deliver it to someone's address four times. Yes, FOUR TIMES!

After much calling, they managed to secure the package and ship it the buyer it was intended for. As for USPS and US Customs, I won't repeat here what I told them. These two entities are cretinous beyond belief.

My order of Death Becomes Her and On Deadly Ground arrived today after being despatched on Saturday. They’re using Amazon shipping for deliveries. Postage cost is expensive but economies of scale kick in quickly, ie shipping for one cd was £4.95(!!) but two was £5.95.

Packaging was nothing special: cds were in a dvd size Jiffy bag wrapped tight around the discs to give an extra one side of protection but it did the job.

The Varèse Sarabande International Store has come up trumps!
As soon as I heard it was back on line I checked in and took advantage of some of the discounted prices.
All arrived safely in 10 days with only one cd case damaged on the spine. Average price of each cd including P&P - £15.
It’s nice to be in UK buying soundtracks for a change! ??

Playing Air Force One right now and really loud!

Same here Brendon.
I picked up some Grusin, Goldsmith and JNH for a good price and they've just been delivered by an Amazon delivery person.
Slight crack in the JNH case cover but perfect otherwise.
I'm another happy UK Varese customer.
And if Loony Toons Deluxe is rubbish, I'm gunning for Yavar wink

Some of my favorite times was working with Todd Turner in Varése's shipping dept. when we both worked there. It was a real joy to see so many names I recognized when we would ship your discs. Did we make mistakes from time to time, of course we did. Any person doing that would as we're not perfect, but we tried to fix them as soon as possible. We only wish we could have been able to ship your discs our quicker, but with two people at the helm, there are only so many you can get out in a day.

Good memories of working in their shipping dept. smile

The day Varese stopped doing shipping in-house was a very sad day. Miss you being there, Peter...

And most importantly you miss Todd, he was the MAIN dude behind this. smile

I see him from time to time, one of the nicest, most caring lovely guys I've ever met.

I got my copies of Death Becomes Her and How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World today (shipped with DHL to The Netherlands). I didn't have to pay any custom fees (which I had to when I ordered from the old international store).
