I just watched this film recently, and was stunned by the musical score of Cipriani.
The CD is now becoming fiendishly difficult to track down....a re-issue would be most welcome.

Just watched and listened. Really beautiful theme. I have a great passion for the 60s and 70s. I love this era.

Besides Ennio Morricone other Italian composers are "new territory" for me. I just started discovering.

From Stelvio Cipriani I own the score to CONCORDE AFFAIRE 79. I liked it.

The second one is the score to UNA MAGNUM SPECIAL PER TONY SAITTA from another Italian composer, Armando Trovaioli.

I think there is lot more to discover.

I love this lounge style.

"You are wrong ... my crazy man"

The 2008 Digitmovies CD was already re-issued in 2014:

"Mind yourself"

"A man like you is not for me"

The music of Ennio must've truly distracted Leo if he missed this until 2022!

I got both the DVD on Femina Ridens & the Digitmovies CD in 2008;
I think the Schivazappa film itself is stunning.

There's still hope for Leo, though - he survived watching Dagmar without succumbing to cardiac arrest. smile

Thanks for the info Zardoz.

You're wrong, there's no hope for me...I'm a complete lost cause. lol

I blame Ennio.....I've never been the same since 'Duck You Sucker' !

Yeah was playing this yesterday.
Great score.
But Cip is a rabbit hole - and there are very few duff scores. See the Cipriani recommendations thread.
The only ones ive found that im not keen on are some of his late 70s disco scores, but even then there are tracks to admire.
*i will just add that all the italians did some disco-style scores around this time and its dated badly - i outgrew that stuff by 1981 lol.

I don't know, it still feels a bit more "hip" than some of the synth-based scores of the 80s, especially American ones. Cipriani is probably my favourite "disco" score composer, although I still much prefer his scores from the early 70s!

I am wondering why some FSMers are only just discovering this these past weeks.

Did a company put Femina Ridens on email blast or something?

No that was years later as Arch Stanton was taken. But who were you known as then? wink
