This one has Michael Giacchino written all over it.

Maybe if Jon Watts was still directing, sure.

FWIW, Matt Shakman's only other feature film was composed by James Newton Howard

Every attempt at a new FF film is doomed (pun intended) to fail until the Roger Corman version is officially released.

Do you say the same about James Bond movies?

I love the FF comic book and always have. The three movies released to date have never come close to getting it right. Ironically the one that has - Roger Corman’s cheap version - has never been released.

If they finally get the family of the FF right it could be a terrific movie.

Right? I for one only like the original two Fantastic 4 movies with Jessica Alba. I wished they had made a 3rd one with that group because Silver Surfer was awesome.

I’m not exactly big on comic book movies or Fantastic Four (saw the first Tim Story film and wasn’t impressed), but Solium’s right here. After all, it did take three tries to do The Maltese Falcon right, to use a non-comic book film as an example.

Boom. Mic drop. 100% this.

The first movie was "okay." The second was terrible and I never bothered with Fant4stic.

These characters deserve a great movie and have barely been able to get a good movie in Hollywood's hands. I'm a fair weather MCU fan but if this is good then I am all of its existence. And if it bad, it will just be another bad movie adaptation of one of the greatest comic book families.

i only care about myself but thankfully its unlikely they just waste me as reeds nemesis and show my desire to conquer and rule the multiverse.oh how i have awaited this day...and the arrival of a blue friend of mine in a galaxy far far away...

How is another James Bond sequel the same as a third/fourth(?) Fantastic Four remake?

Every time you have a new actor playing Bond its essentially a reboot.
Regarding F4 they probably won't do another origins story. I think the ship has sailed on that.

I recall Kevin Feige saying that the film wasn't going to be an origin story. I also think that this is a great way to go. The reaction to Mr. Fantastic's appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness shows that the FF are enough of a known quantity that a lengthy introduction isn't necessary. Plus, much as I love FF, particularly the Lee/Kirby era, their origin story isn't especially compelling. It just connected the dots as to how they got their powers. Anything that might have been established in a full blown origin story could be as well established with a few lines of dialogue and some short flashbacks.

As far as composers go, Christophe Beck composed the music for WandaVision, which was directed by Matt Shakman. Beck would certainly be a great choice.

How can you compare the James Bond Movies with this ? explain...

The JB movies are different stories with a single character .

He Bond movies get re-booted every few years, usually win a different approach to the same character. That is precisely what Marvel Studios are tempting to do with the new Fantastic Four.

The FF movies could, should and hopefully will be different stories, so the only difference between this and the multiple 007 refreshes is the number of characters.

Today I learned some people have no concept of how sequels or reboots function.

No im sorry you dont seem to grasp the difference between a character based film continuing ( not rebooting ) and multiple attempts at trying to relaunch a franchise
