At this point it seems like titles are being expanded that are iffy

BLESS.

This is one of the few recent Horner works I do not own. The OST was wholly inadequate and I'd never heard the b***. But darn if this isn't full of magic and whimsey (if derivative of An American Tail).

Take my money, LaLaLand. Between LLL and Intrada with Grinch and Hollow Man, I may need to take out a second mortgage....

Ado: At this point it seems like titles are being expanded that are iffy

Ado, I'm okay with iffy–even sub-iffy–if it keeps these soundtrack labels going.

I don't know about you, but I'm not about to trust Tidal, Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, et al. to keep the titles I want up and running. That way lies more expense and fewer selections, I guarantee it.

Really? I feel like this is a favorite of many people here.

Yeah, it is fine, I am just thinking, well, that was a terrible movie, and I thought about the music, it is like his greatest hits put into blender, and I read that Filmtracks review, and yeah see what he is saying there. It is Hroner working away trying to find a tone for this mish-mash fast food mess of a movie. Of Horner titles, it is at the sub-basement level, but yeah, I guess maybe it funds operations for better stuff.

That is one of the scores that was in pretty need of an expansion, excellent!! James Horner at his best!

So, talking about Christmas based movie scores I wander if the Polar express (Alan Silvestri) is possible too?

We get it Ado, you don’t like this score. I’m all for expressing opinions, but there’s something to be said about beating a dead horse.

The film is cringe and I’ve only seen a few minutes of the movie, but what little of the score Ive heard was great. Can’t wait to hear it outside of the film and minus the voice overs.

Nice to see the inevitable variations on “what I really want…” here.

FFS. Some of you people are the worst.

I agree with Schiffy.
This is quite a beloved score amongst James Horner fans, for a popular and successful film, no matter what some folks might think of it.
The original CD release had dialogue excerpts and sound FX, plus songs scattered throughout it. That's pretty much the first 3 signs of the apocalypse for score fans.
If you don't already have this wild, wacky and lovely score, this will be the perfect edition to have.
For the rest of us Horner nut jobs, we can all finally get rid of the crummy bootleg that we've made do with all these years.

BUT...
What I really want is...

Yay! Finally, a proper release and goodbye to the b**t.

Many thanks, LLL, even it means my wallet isn't happy.

So true. "I don't like it or think it's very good so it probably shouldn't be released." Freaken unbelievable. No wonder we're seeing fewer posts from the specialty labels here.

I for one will be purchasing it the moment it goes on sale. Thanks, LLL! You guys rock! Also love the cover!

I love the cover art too. Much better than the obvious choice.

I'm listening to this on YT and just heard Horner's riff on Chariots of Fire. Was that a parody in the film or another case of Horner "borrowing"?
